Features Bible Study Commentaries, Categories, and Lectures. “Study to show yourself approved unto God, a workman that needs not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the Word of Truth” (2 Timothy 2:15).
What… is Evil? Evil is not something that has a life of its own, rather, it is a corruption of a perfect creation. Evil is the addition of corruption that caused perfect to be imperfect. Good has always existed but is restricted—good is something less perfect because evil co-exists. Both exist, but neither is an entity. Evil is a perversion…
The Duality of Christ Jesus did not think of His deity as more important than our souls. The very nature of deity precluded the fact that any member of the trinity could be judged for sin. Eternal life can neither be born, nor die; holiness cannot have anything to do with sin; omnipresence cannot be reduced to one point (the…
Press On, Weary Warrior We all face the same choice at least once: Turn from God or turn to Him. Learn God—learn God’s perspective. God’s solutions to our troubles were determined before the world was created. God has a plan against evil (Galatians 4:4; 1 Peter 1:18-20). So, “the justified will live by faith” (Habakkuk 2:4). “Live by faith…” three…
Return to the God of Our Fathers Constant exposure to infusions of untruth will exhaust the spiritual resistance and strength of the American people, so that untruth becomes truth (1 Corinthians 10:12). This is done on a massive scale by the education system and in all forms of media. It’s a constant bombardment, driven deep into the mind through propaganda,…
Find Your Way Back… Come Home Thirteen points on back-to-basics: Do you want to feel better about who and what God is? Then realize who and what you are. So, who are you? You, like everyone else, are a sinner saved by grace. So, what are you? You are a human being, meaning: you’re not God. Your being is human….
Divine Decrees and Prayer God created humanity with free will. We can and do make our own choices, proving volition. Therefore, we have the choice to respect and honor God, or to go our own way. Furthermore, God’s plan for creation and humanity was ordained, and history is being lived as God ordained. At the consummation of human history, the…
Humanity, Deity, Blasphemy Humanity is anointed. Deity is Eternal God. Blasphemy is rejecting Christ. God came to rescue humanity from sin-darkness, which is separation from God. Jesus, in His humanity, is the long-awaited Messiah—the Davidic Messiah of Israel. Jesus is the anointed one, sent from God, baptized for power by the Holy Spirit of God the Father, thereby uniquely empowered…
Our Citizenship In Heaven Our citizenship in God’s glorious kingdom is not determined by external acts of dos and don’ts; it is not what we eat or drink. We are a spiritual kingdom of believer-priests living in Satan’s kingdom. Our righteousness is an ever-present possession because Christ indwells us. It is His righteousness imputed to us because of the cross…
Peace In Your Soul Peace In Your Soul, or The Sanctuary of Trinity The Sanctuary of Trinity is in our soul, and it is there full-time for retreat, peace, rest, and refreshing, so we can drink from God’s fountain and then rise from our knees and return to the conflict—the angelic conflict—the daily and minute-by-minute battle between good and evil,…
Divine Sonship and the Fatherhood of God Childlike closeness is central to the believer’s sonship with Father God. This is the heart of the Gospel. By faith in the cross-work of Christ, we are adopted by God as His children. At salvation, God restores the believer and we are called “privileged to God,” our “Abba” (Romans 8:15; Galatians 4:6). Christ…
Societal Stability – Marriage and Family In the quest for economic security, things seem to be more valuable than family. A nicer car or a larger home seem more important than parental support of children The Hebrew word for ‘family’ is mishpahah, which implies a family consisting of father, mother, children, community/neighbors, and God, plus the extended family of relatives….
The Struggles of the Soul Through the lens of Christ my Savior, I can see (and live) closer to the reality of eternity because the view is more clearly defined. The errors of worldly thinking are many. Ravi Zacharias once explained that: “For the Hindu, ‘karma,’ the moral law of cause and effect, is a life-defining concept. Life carries a…
God’s Sovereignty and Human Freedom God is sovereign over the universe and human affairs. Divine sovereignty and human freedom co-exist. I really like the statement in Daniel 4:35: “All the inhabitants of the earth are counted as nothing, and He does what He wants with the army of heaven and the inhabitants of the earth. There is no one who…
Denying God Humanity is created in the image of God, and lives in a reality (or world) created by God, therefore humanity is not excused, rather condemned for denying the existence of God (as evidenced through the existence of earth, stars, sun, moon, heavens, intelligent design, the complexity of every biological life-form, etc.), therefore, man is without excuse. Everything did…
Logic – Three Basic Laws Law 1: Identity law Law 2: Non-contradiction Law 3: Excluded middle Identity – 1Truth is 2absolute—untruth is absolute. 3Neither can be the other. Therefore, non-contradiction is “neither can be the other.” So, all three are absolutes. Human Logic is based on reality—patterned after reality. “God, our Creator, gave us truth. We added untruth.” The principles…
The Thundering Essence of Prophecy Christ’s First Coming (called the First Advent) was rejected by the Jews, and destruction followed in 70 A.D. by Titus. Likewise, when the dispensation of the Gentiles (non-Jews) is completed, Christ will come again (called the Second Coming) and destroy Gentile nations. Christ, at His Second Coming will, by the Word of His mouth—a mere…
God – The Need of Man The Bible (God’s inspired Word) is the true narrative that answers the greatest questions of life. God has provided His truths of reality (His and ours) and His divine solutions. The Bible brings true reality into proper perspective. We cannot hear God as plainly if w do not read/study His Word. Believers must be…
Comprehending What Seems to be Incomprehensible To truly know and even begin to understand God, our Creator, you must allow God to tell you what He is like. God is so far above us that we can best know Him by studying His own revelations of Himself. The revelations in nature, in life, and in the Bible help us to…
The World, the Flesh, and the Devil The Holy Spirit enlightens mankind regarding sin, righteousness, and judgment. In our walk through life, we either negate the working of the Holy Spirit leading our thinking-life (Romans 8:6,13), or we negate the works of the flesh—the sin nature (Romans 6:6; 8:4; Galatians 5:16; 1 John 4:4). It is always one or the…
The Great Restoration Distractions of the world and its enticements interfere in our relationship with God. When Christ became incarnate (became human so He could be related to humanity), He did so to go to the cross so we could be “related” to God. Being in Christ, we are made holy because He is holy. We become adopted children because…
