The Sanctuary Of Trinity

The sanctuary of Trinity is in our soul, and it is there full-time for retreat, peace, rest, and refreshing, so we can drink from God’s fountain and then rise from our knees and return to the conflict – the angelic conflict – the daily and minute-by-minute battle between good and evil, to turn conflict to peace, suffering to blessing, losing to winning, weeping to joy.

We are seated with Christ, sharing His throne and His Priesthood (Ephesians 2:6). Each time we kneel in our soul, we are refilled and recharged with peace and power from on-high. Every time we are taught the doctrines of the bible we are renewed for battle, but the battle is also the Lord’s – the fruits of the Spirit.

Christ left for each believer His very own peace (John 14:27 and 15:11). As a believer, we all want to please the Lord. It is the filling of the Holy Spirit that pleases God. Christ was constantly filled with the Spirit.

Understand this: the cross was and is a scandal to Israel in the first century, and to many today because it put to death every system of religion and human merit. The cross rejected human merit. Man stands naked and ashamed before God, just as Adam and Eve after the fall. Christ rejected human merit as a covering for sin when He clothed them in His righteousness in the garden. Rejection of merit is offensive to man because of the evil present in our sin nature.
