The End of Creation — NEW

The End of Creation

As scientists have discovered, the Earth and the universe are composed of atomic structure (held together omnipotent God who created atomic structure out of nothing).

After the millennial reign of Christ, God will dismiss the earth and universe back to nothing by the same power He created it with—His spoken word.

Peter, examining this very point, asked the question, “Since everything will be destroyed eventually, by God, what kind of people ought we to be?” (2 Peter 3:11-12). “The day of God” (verse 12) introduces eternity. “The day of the Lord” declares the millennial reign of Christ. “The day of God” ends the millennium, where the Great White Throne judgment takes place. Once disbelief (rejection of Christ) of all men is judged, the entire creation is destroyed.

The future of our current time in history must be fulfilled, then the rapture, then the millennium, then the day of God—the Great White Throne judgment—then eternity with God.

Creation (the temporary nature of our present world of reality) will be destroyed and God will create a new reality for our eternal existence with Him.

In contemplating God’s majestic plan of grace, man has the privilege of restoration through Christ or judgment through Christ. In 2 Peter 3:14, Peter exhorts his listeners (Jews and gentiles) to be at peace with God. Are you at peace with God? (Reference John 3:36).

God constantly manifests His holiness, His righteous perfections, and His absoluteness. God, in patience, before Christ’s return, allows the inhabitants of earth the continuing opportunity to be saved. God calls the lost to Christ every day. When the last to be called gets saved, Christ will return.

Even so, come quickly Lord Jesus.

Note: The coming of Christ is at the end of the tribulation (this is the second coming). It does not refer to the time just before the Rapture (for the Rapture, we believers will be called up to meet Christ in the clouds—Christ will not set foot on the Earth until the second coming, after the seven-year tribulation).
