Thoughts to Ponder in Your Walk with the Lord
READ, LINGER, PROCESS…
When we pass away, all things become new. In Colossians 3:5-17, the old becomes the new. We put off the old and put on the new, via transformation, transition, and translation into God’s presence.
Revival is the translation from the old to the new. The restoration of mankind to a permanent spiritual relationship with God is because of the perfect birth, life, cross, resurrection, and ascension of Christ. Amen.
The limits of your vocabulary are the limits to your thinking.
There are three manifestations of arrogance: Self-justification, self-deception, and self-absorption. Whereas humility is man’s “vessel of honor” in true respect and love for God, in respect for authority (James 4), and true love and respect for people.
The dualism of fleshly thinking is double-minded, tossed to and fro, and unstable emotions.
The Lord Jesus Christ died for our sins and rose for our justification.
Tranquility under pressure, even when facing death, is the overt expression of a courageous soul. The Lord goes ahead of you (Deuteronomy 31:8).
Execute your destiny in this life with gladness.
Occupation with Christ overrules the sin nature.
Fear is a human trait.
As long as the believer is in the world, we are to be the light of the world.
Christ is light for a world living in darkness. The motivation behind sin is independence from God — rebellion (Isaiah 14:33). “I will…”
Only God has the power and character to execute divine principles. Therefore, the principle stands that there will never be a believer that ever earned, deserved, or impressed God—only Jesus Christ holds this honor/title.
There are two principles that Satan hates: The Gospel, and the filling of the Spirit.
The filling of the Spirit produces the fruit of the Spirit and the character of God. God is a spirit and true worship is living our moments filled with the Spirit of God
We are God’s chosen witnesses and servants (Isaiah 43:10).
God’s plan for the human race is not to clean up the devil’s world, but to offer an alternative to it through salvation for the unsaved, and Bible doctrine for the saved 1Timothy 2:4, describes this. Believers in fellowship are the greatest hindrance and threat to the devil’s world system because they are living in the plan of God by the filling of the Holy Spirit.
Satan deceives the world by the counterfeit church in Rome, which promotes the gospel of works by causing fear, and by coercion.
Arrogance destroys. Humility defeats. Arrogance made its first appeal to the thinking—in the mind. The thought patterns become self-centered and negative, then a decision follows, and finally the action of arrogance. Arrogance promotes inordinate ambition. Arrogance rules the sin nature. Arrogance dominates believers. You cannot be arrogant and be humble at the same time. They are mutually exclusive.
Satan is the Great politician. He promised a better heaven, a better life, more recognition, more authority, and promotion. One third of the angels believed his persuasion and chose to follow Satan (Revelation 12:4).
Remember this: Satan and Adam both were created by God to glorify God—both failed. It was Jesus Christ who glorified the Father.
