SCRIPTURE FOR MEDITATION
Many topics and verses below are also viewable on the Home Page and/or in various categories under “Tree of Knowledge.” There may be some variation from editing, but repetition is a good teacher. Also, some people will search “Meditations” or “Lectures” before reading the “Home Page” or the categorical studies listed under “Tree of Knowledge.”
WOTM wishes to be as thorough as possible in the presentation of The Words of Truth. Therefore many topics are merged here below for edification and meditation.
“FROM GENERATION TO GENERATION, I AM GOD”
God chose the arena of generational history to reveal Himself. “Now to Him who is able to do exceeding abundantly beyond all that we ask or think, according to the power that works within us, to Him be the glory in the Church and in Christ Jesus to all generations forever and ever. Amen.” (Ephesians 3:20-21; Deuteronomy 6:4-7; Psalms 100:5; Isaiah 59:21).
The Holy Bible is Divine Revelation. The Holy Bible is a record of the prehistoric and historic past, yet always current, always relative, applicable to each new generation (Deuteronomy 6:4-9). Human nature is the same in every generation.
TRUTH
Truth is absolute. Truth is sacred. Truth is necessary. Truth IS a Person — Jesus Christ (John 1:14; 14:6; 17:17; 2 Timothy 2:15; Ephesians 5:21).
GOD’S WORD
THE BIBLE IS NOT EARTHLY WISDOM! God gave Mankind His Inspired Word — the Old Testament 39 books, and the New Testament 27 books — the Holy Bible. The Bible is written by inspiration of God so that each generation of man can learn Christ.
Inspired means “God Breathed.” Inhale/exhale. God exhaled the Word — we are to inhale it, process it, meditate upon it, then put it to work in our lives.
“My Word shall never pass away.” Sic transit gloria mundi: thus passes away the glory of the world (Isaiah 40:8; 59:21; Matthew 5:18; 1 Peter 1:25). “Thy Word is Truth” (John 17:17; 1 Peter 1:22).
SALVATION/RESTORATION/DELIVERANCE/RECONCILIATION
God the Father sent His Son Jesus Christ to die in our place (John 3:16; 20:31). Christ sent the Holy Spirit to indwell every believer in the Church Age of Grace (the Age that began at Christ’s ascension and still goes on today) and execute history as God foreordained (Ephesians 1: 4-6). God has given to mankind volition (self-determination) freedom to believe in Him by faith or reject Him by faith in self.
With Volition comes responsibility and accountability (1 Peter 1:5 & 9).
The Grace-Plan of God is Corporate and Personal
THE LORD GOD HAS A CORPORATE PLAN FOR ISRAEL, A CORPORATE PLAN FOR THE CHURCH, AND A PERSONAL PLAN FOR ALL (Jew and Gentile) WHO WILL COME TO YESHUA — JESUS CHRIST.
There are THREE phases to God’s Plan for mankind.
Phase One: Salvation – enter at the Cross
Phase Two: After salvation – the Christian Way of life
Phase Three: Eternity.
“For I know the plans I have for you, plans to prosper you and not harm you, plans to give you hope and a future” (Jeremiah 29:11). Reference Ephesians 6:6b; Psalm 31:3; 32:8; 48:14.
FAITH LIKE A CHILD
Jesus, prayed in Matthew 11:25: “I praise you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because you have hidden these things from the wise and the learned, and revealed them to little children.” Then in Matthew 18:3, Christ said: “Truly I tell you, unless you be converted and become as little children, you shall not enter the kingdom of heaven” (reference John 1:12). Faith in the cross-sacrifice of Christ is the only way to God, Acts 4:12; John 14:6).
SKEPTICS OFTEN ASK: “What about people who have never heard about Jesus Christ or the Bible?” The answer is not difficult: God has a Plan for every contingency. God is not surprised by anything! God is perfectly Just — perfectly Righteous.
WHAT ABOUT REASON?
Reason alone offers no positive answer to evil — no protection from ourselves. Therefore, reason in itself, without acknowledging God, leaves mankind vulnerable, and at the mercy of his own arrogance.
“Come, let us reason together says the LORD” (Isaiah 1:18). “But where shall wisdom be found? and where is the place of understanding?” (Job 28:12). “Behold the fear (reverence) of the Lord, that is wisdom, and to depart from evil is understanding” (Job 28:28).
SCIENCE AND THE BIBLE
God, as creator, through Jesus Christ, originates and sustains all laws, life, and all phenomena which science categorizes and classifies. Science must agree with the Bible or science is inaccurate. The Bible in the original signature is always accurate. Everything that exists and its preservation depends exclusively on the omnipotence and immutability of Jesus Christ (Colossians 1:17; Hebrews 1:3).
“Scientific Laws” is an inaccurate term or title where science fails to recognize God as creator. The term should be “Divine Laws” reverencing God, giving God the respect and recognizing His divine, absolute authority and glory for His intelligent design (omniscience (all-knowing)).
Only God can control history and sustain the universe. The Divine Laws of Establishment prove a Creator – Jesus Christ. Only the faithfulness of God preserves all Creation. Jesus Christ holds the universe together by the Word of His almighty power (Hebrews 1:3).
THE BIBLE
The Bible is the Written Word of Truth publicized, and the Lord Jesus Christ is the Living Word of Truth personified. Both are supernatural in origin and duration, and both represent the union of that which is divine and that which is human.
Both the Bible, and the Lord Jesus Christ were given by God to mankind as the greatest gifts ever given, and the greatest story ever told.
The Bible, perhaps, may best be described as winged words of wisdom come down from Heaven.
The Word of God and the cross of Christ stand as divine monuments to the absolute love of God; which motivated the Grace Plan of God for the deliverance of mankind, and of creation.
The Bible is the greatest book ever written, ever read, ever not read, ever studied, ever applied. The Bible is from Heaven and sent to earth for application to the details of EARTH LIFE! Psalm 147:15; Amen.
“The Bible is relative to every generation because human nature is the same in every generation.”
“The Bible is the Mind of Christ“ (1 Corinthians 2:16). His Mind is a terrible thing to waste. “Let His mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:” (Philippians 2:5).
THY WORD IS TRUTH (John 17:17).
The Bible is the flashing forth of divine messages centered in Jesus Christ for the benefit of mankind. The Bible demonstrates God’s faithfulness.
The Holy Spirit inspired the original signature and continues to inspire the Scriptures with silent-light illumination, literally with “Silence Atomic.” The Bible is given to man to “Know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven [God]” (Matthew 13:11).
“Oh, the depth of the riches both of wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are His judgments and unfathomable His ways! For from Him and through Him and to Him are all things. To Him be the glory, forever and ever. Amen (Romans 11:33, 36).”
So, “study” (2 Timothy 2:15) compare Scripture and listen, always listen for God’s whispers of truth, love, justice, guidance and blessed assurance. “All Scripture is living and powerful” (Hebrews 4:12; 2 Timothy 3:16,17).
