Thoughts to Ponder in Your Walk with the Lord (Part Three)

Thoughts to Ponder in Your Walk with the Lord

READ, LINGER, PROCESS…

We inhale air, but exhale poison. The breath of soul-life is the same breath that made the heavens (Psalm 33:6) and laid the foundations of the world (Psalm 18:15). How can man trust in man (humanism) with his one breath capacity when man can breathe in God’s breath—the written Word of God (Hebrews 4:12)? Man rejects God’s breath, the breath that gives eternal life.

Our body is the vehicle that houses our soul-life—our consciousness. The soul is our center of being, our self-consciousness, our conscious self, as in ego-consciousness. I know, therefore I am. God is The Great I Am. God IS.

Our born-again spirit is God-conscious. So it is our conscious soul-life that makes us different from all other life forms. As believers, we are self-conscious and God-conscious.

I am surrendered to Christ because Christ surrendered all for me.

Life is meaningless—a separation from God, empty, void, futile—without God. Therefore, seek God and His righteousness—His perfectly righteous Son. Jesus Christ is the centrality of history and of life. Choose to live with God now and forever. Choose Christ.

We are but a mist, and then we disappear.

Einstein said: “The more I know, the more I realize I know nothing.”

I say: “I can never catch up with knowledge; knowledge is rushing; knowledge has no end. All knowledge comes from God. Be in harmony with God.”

As believers, we sing praises to God. As believers, God sings in harmony with us. As believers, we fellowship with God. As believers, God walks with us and talks with us through His Word, His still small voice (1 Kings 19:12), His voice of silence, atomic.

“Vanity” is equal to meaningless and emptiness. Life is futility without God. Those without God chase the wind and search for the oasis—a mirage, so I devoted myself to study God’s Word of Truth.

The real barrier to salvation is arrogance.

It is interesting that God’s Word does not proclaim a restoration to the perfection of life as it once was in the Garden of Eden. Instead (and only in Christianity) does God promise an entirely new creation free of all imperfections. Believers will experience indescribable joy in the kingdom of God with God in absoluteness and perfection. This is the yearning of our hearts—to be perfect with God (1 Corinthians 2:9; Revelation 21:2,9; 22:17; John 17:11,20-23).

I am persuaded that man has placed himself in judgment of God, making man appear as the authority with the knowledge and power to determine right and wrong. Ego is in the flesh of humanity, and pride is man’s worst enemy—it is not man’s strength, it is man’s weakness. In weakness is man’s defeat, even death and separation from God. Fallible man cannot make himself infallible.

Ancient times speak silent wisdom.

Fate can be like a beautiful butterfly, a floating feather, or an iron fist.

The only good in me is the Trinity.

To me, the gospel is a cross with outstretched arms (Romans 5:8).

The Bible is not a cure all, it is the beginning of wisdom.

A man’s character crowns him king or pauper.

Each man’s work will become manifest.

The face of vanity is in the mirror.
