Thoughts to Ponder in Your Walk with the Lord (Part Thirteen)

Thoughts to Ponder in Your Walk with the Lord

READ, LINGER, PROCESS…

In the blazing radiance of the Lord’s glory our depravity is exposed, and His glory helps us see our depravity. He alone will expose the real self.

America seems to be asleep, complacent in slumber, enjoying plentiful crops, clothes, possessions and luxuries, while our enemies plot our destruction. Material possessions build false security—a falseness to reality.

Only when God’s Spirit controls us can we achieve great things, true peace, and fruitfulness (Ezekiel 36:22; Galatians 5:22,23).

The Lord, and God’s Word, are refuges from the wind, and shelter from the storm.

Virtue is living with yourself honestly, and knowing who you are.

The whole world is accessible, and a wise person doesn’t go there.

The universe is a simple world that is complex—reality is a paradox of immutability while constantly changing, all of which is predestined.

Music, singing, joy, mathematics, silence, and peace are manifestations originating in God, from God, therefore, we are designed by God to meditate on/in Him.

God is a certainty, man is uncertainty. God proclaims Himself through all of creation, Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit, the Word of God, and the breath of man.

Man is the center of himself. Present benefits of our walk with Christ will one day be our eternal blessings. We will receive eternal rewards, crowns of blessing at the judgment seat of Christ.

Theology consists of two branches: natural and revealed. Natural is knowledge we have of God from his works (creation) by the light of nature and reason. Revealed is that which is to be learned only from revelation.

I win because Christ leads me in Spirit, and my soul rejoices. I rejoice and will rejoice forever.

People must look at the cross and believe the sacrifice—receive the Savior by faith.

Suffering is for the sake of Christ. It is granted for us to suffer as Christ suffered.

We have an obligation to example Christ—God stands with us. We are in the world, but not of the world, for we are bought with a price—redeemed. We are to reflect the light that originates from heaven. We must proclaim the gospel until Christ’s return.

How ignorant believers are regarding their mortal enemy. How seemingly unconcerned, anxious, even ungrateful the believer lives his/her life, because of limited understanding. God delivers us every hour of every day, and we are none the wiser.

It is faith that overcomes the world, the flesh, and the devil by the power of the indwelling Holy Spirit. Resist the devil by faith—give it to the Lord, be steadfast.

We have three enemies: the world, the flesh, and the devil.

We have three power sources: the Word of God, the interceding Christ, and the indwelling Holy Spirit.

The Lord is our Servant-King. He saved us from our sin. He prepares our mansion. He sets our table, provides our meal, fills our cup with living water, and invites all to sup with Him for eternity. Come, let us kneel down at the Lord’s Supper.
