Thoughts to Ponder in Your Walk with the Lord (Part Seventy-Seven)

READ, LINGER, PROCESS…

What we see around us is the evidence of God’s existence.

Try to think of something that doesn’t exist. What did you come up with? Honestly, you can come up with nothing. So, this is how we know that God must exist, because we can conceive of Him.

Incarnation

Time is a creative extension of God. Therefore, time is for our benefit, to have relationship with God. The cross of Christ brought The Christ into time, and Christ took time to eternity, bringing death to life for evermore.

Pride

Worldly thinking – so humanistic. “If we just keep trying to improve ourselves, God will understand – He’s a God of love.” So wrong, yet it seems so right. Yes, God is love, but God is also justice. Justice guards God’s perfect righteousness. The cross proves our depravity, our inability to please God by trying to be good. Scripture transforms human viewpoint to divine viewpoint. Read John and Romans and be saved.

Words, like a mask, hide our true feelings and the truth.

Romance and adventure are meant to be shared with our own special someone.

Ego sponsors ideological confrontation. Pride deploys a fiery contrarian sword rather than bow in humble adoration.

The gravity of our own pride will bring us down.

Soon, it all shall be… as though we had not been. Then what?

What we yearn for deeply from our soul is what we had a long time ago in a garden of God. We long for God and fill ourselves with everything except God – searching endlessly, our hunger, our thirst, our quest never satisfied, never filled, never full until God be with us.

The Lord is my stay. Onward I go until that great day – until the beginning of my pass away and the endlessly.
