Living our lives in a time-centered existence has its tensions. We are nostalgic for yesteryear, which lives on only in memory, in the midst of a disappearing present—time is elusive. Time is God’s creation. What we do in time matters. Our decisions have eternal consequences. Time gives us opportunity to know and believe and be obedient by trusting Christ for an everlasting relationship with Father God. Triune God exists (dwells) apart from time and space and matter. God lives in everlasting eternity and He alone has made it possible to live with Him forever.
The essence of the Bible is the prophecy of human history foretold—recorded and fulfilled by Jesus Christ, the Living God.
Each day spent fellowshipping with God lifts our spirit just a little closer to heaven.
The doctrines of the Bible overflow to a thirsty and dying world.
Life isn’t merciful. God is.
I am my own worst enemy. Death is release from my worst enemy.
As far as humanity has come from ancient, primitive times we never really left, our nature is still the same. We are still a race of would-be/want-to-be gods, doomed to failure by our own aggression, our own wicked nature.
Life flows through us, in each generation, into the future, until Christ returns. Live on and on in Christ. From the event horizons of the past come the events of the future at the horizon event of Christ.
Happy is the believer who thirsts for the Word of God and His wisdom. His ways are by means of the Holy Spirit. The works of fellowship withstand the cleansing of fire.
The believer arises from sleep, blesses the name of the Lord, and offers appreciation for one more day.
When the believer’s heart is at peace with God, it sings in silence.
Thou, O Lord, will establish the believer in Your time by Your decree as we name our trespasses and move in harmony with Thee.
In secret places undercover, iniquities are committed against God and man. They plunder as if there is no God. No sin is left undone, and sin when it is finished brings forth death. It is man’s nature to sin and God’s nature to reconcile and justify or judge by Christ.
It is the Holy Spirit which restrains us with heavenly whispers. The believer who positions the backside for the chastening is ever mindful without it. Just and kind and merciful is God because of Christ and in his Son is righteousness established forever.
The unbeliever loves the companionship of sin and sinners. God has always known their folly—the way of a man’s heart is wicked by nature.
The tree of life is rooted forever. The Book of Wisdom is from everlasting to everlasting. Evil is terminally ill. The tongue speaks the evil of an ill-tuned heart.
Hope is in the flesh. There is no hope in heaven. Hope is for mankind until time ends. There is no need for hope when we are free, face to face with the Lord our God. There is no doubt in heaven.
Truth is beautiful. Truth is naked without shame. Truth is present everywhere. Truth is white as snow. Truth is absolute and final.
Religion is man’s thoughts about God. Theology is how man sees God. The Word of God is divine viewpoint. God’s Word is how He sees man. Christianity is the relationship between God and man, not man and God. God’s Word reveals God.
