The sufferings of my afflictions, whether temporary or permanent, achieves an eternal weight of glory that does not – cannot – hold me down, but rather lifts me up forever.
This physical, earthly dwelling is temporary for my time limit on earth while separated from my Savior. My spiritual dwelling in Heaven has been especially prepared for me as an eternal covering.
Jesus paid my sin debt (by physical and spiritual death) so that I am forgiven and cleansed of all debt. My mortality will soon be swallowed up by His immortality. The indwelling Holy Spirit given to me when I first believed is God’s down payment on His word until I am passed up and away. Therefore, I have peace inwardly because God gave His “Word” – Christ Jesus, the Lord (John 1:1; 19:30).
Christ descended, the ascended to His Father and my Father, to His God and my God. He is risen, so I shall rise up as well. I will follow you, my Lord, my Redeemer. I wait, looking up for the flashing forth of your appearance in glory.
