Tithing – Taxation or Legalism?

Tithing – Taxation or Legalism? In our attempt to reach the world for Christ, many times we drive the world away from the church by too much solicitation. The church is designed to be an academic classroom. That is the purpose, the calling, and the mandate of the pastor-teacher—to teach the Word! Some pastors will read this study and be…

Christ is Truth

Christ is Truth The unbeliever is like the bird perched upon a telephone line, unaware of the Gospel passing through his feet. When the thunder of my course is silent, I will have passed into peace. During the believer’s confrontations, God pours out His abundant grace so that we may overcome. Woe to the voices who preach “health and wealth”…

Atheism/Skepticism

Atheism/Skepticism Skeptics believe in something, even if that belief is nothing—therefore, there is a believer in every skeptic. World religions are the assimilation of human viewpoint whereby humanity creates their own god and their own salvation. The subject of God as the source of moral authority has more implicating evidence than any other source. A divine source, more than any…

Grace Revisited

Grace Revisited INTRODUCTION God pre-designed the plan of grace before the foundation of the world; Jesus Christ executed the plan; the Holy Spirit reveals the plan through Bible doctrine to mankind.  The word grace and its eternal meaning were forever exalted by the incarnation of Jesus Christ in hypostatic union (which means both God and man simultaneously). Witnessing

Witnessing Witnessing is personal evangelism by believers to unsaved mankind—the communication of the Gospel of Christ on the cross to the lost. The believer has a responsibility to be accurate in presenting the Gospel message. Then, the one who hears is responsible to respond or reject. Their choice (volition) determines their eternal destiny. Witnessing is serious because eternity with or…

Veracity

Veracity God is absolute truth. Veracity (truthfulness) is the absolute integrity of God, which consists of His righteousness and justice which comprises His holiness. His holiness is the totality of divine perfection (Exodus 34:6; Deuteronomy 32:4; Psalm 31:15; 33:4; John 1:14; 14:6; 16:13; 17:17-19).

Unpardonable Sin

Unpardonable Sin The only unpardonable sin is the rejection of Christ’s work on the cross (John 1:29; 3:18,36). This sin is related to the convicting ministry of the Holy Spirit, and if this truth is rejected, it is blasphemy of the Holy Spirit (Genesis 6:3; John 16:7-11; Hebrews 10:29). This is the only unpardonable sin in existence today.

Unlimited Atonement/Efficacy

Unlimited Atonement/Efficacy Unlimited Atonement/Efficacy is the saving work of Christ on the cross for the sins of humanity, which was efficacious. Efficacious means the perfectly innocent Christ in His humanity, sacrificed Himself and was totally acceptable to God. Christ died in our place. He paid, in full, our insurmountable debt. Christ redeemed us. Please reference Romans 3:24-26; 1 Corinthians 1:30;…

Triumphal Entrance

Triumphal Entrance Triumphal entrance refers to the triumphal entry of our Savior into the third heaven, which is beyond the stellar universe, with all believers—from Adam to the point in time where He led the procession—following behind Him. His procession from earth in bodily form was the first entry by any human being into Heaven. He is the first-fruits of…

Tongues

Tongues The gift of tongues was a temporary gift for the dissemination of the Gospel at the beginning of the church-age (1 Corinthians 12:1-31; 13:1-10). Tongues served a time-specific purpose, one which was fulfilled, as planned. Then, the ‘gift’ was no longer applicable and thereby removed as a spiritual gift. The Bible is clear on this, yet some people put…

Taboo

Taboo Taboos are a prohibition imposed by religion—a system of legalism and self-righteousness. It is an invasion of privacy. Taboos are not to be the criteria for assessing sin or establishing righteousness. Taboos are a form of bullying, which is a result of power-lust arrogance. Legalism is human-viewpoint religion. Taboos are counterfeit to Occupation with Christ.
