Thoughts to Ponder in Your Walk with the Lord
READ, LINGER, PROCESS…
God is in control. There has never been, nor will there ever be, a time when the Lord’s will is not done. God’s plan for creation is never-failing. God is never surprised. If the Lord wills, it will.
The true believer enters into the tears of Christ; He weeps over those who will not come to Him.
The humility and love of Christ enabled Him to go to the cross. The humility of mankind enables us to come to the cross. At the cross, God and mankind meet, and that meeting either saves or condemns. Faith in Christ saves. Rejection of Christ condemns. Forever.
Religious mankind must bow to Christ in humility or bow before Christ as their judge in eternity (Revelation 3:9).
The issues of eternity are settled in this life. Our choices are judged after this life.
Choose wisely… while you can.
We weep for Christ on the cross. We weep for those who reject the cross.
I serve the Lord. I may have to die for the Lord in these last days, but I’ll die in my Lord.
Inspiration, “divine wind,” blows to us and through us, then returns to God. The ignorance of men regarding God, and especially Christ Jesus, His Son, is due to their failure to search the Word of God.
If you believe in Christ as your personal Savior, then you should have the same passion toward God’s Word as Christ. Christ is the Living Word, and the Bible is the Written Word, they are one and the same.
Think on this: “HE is written.” The message is inspired. The Biblical message—the Scriptures—are inspired, not the writer.
Genes from human parents—grace from Spiritual Father. As spiritual sons and daughters, we are spiritual heirs of God (Galatians 4:7).
God makes a note of each tear. In Heaven He will wipe them all away. He keeps them in a bottle. Records them in his book.
Do not remain a prisoner of your past. In God’s plan, your future is secured, your destiny assured.
Don’t shoulder the past, the load gets too heavy. Don’t drag the bag. Don’t let your shoulders sag. Stand up straight, turn to the One who will dispose of your load and guide your steps. “Come all ye that are heavy laden, I will give you rest” (Matthew 11:28-29). Leave your sack of stones at the foot of the cross, at the feet of the Savior. Open yourself to Him—He already knows—give him your loaded heart.
A heart fixed on God can handle the best that the worst has to give. The power believer needs is the power they already have available through God—His Word and faith.
The Holy Spirit speaks through God’s Word stored in our memory banks, and in times of need or even desperation, we simply recall and apply (John 14:16-17).
In the hidden recesses of our being dwells God the Holy Spirit and Bible doctrine—ready always and willing. Do you have enough doctrine and Biblical Truths stored there to sustain you? If not, get to it.
“Create in me a new heart, a willing heart, and renew a steadfast spirit within me” (Psalm 51:10).
Our problems are not bills, money, time, bad luck. No, our problems are us, on the inside. Real change is an inside job, in the heart, in our thinking. Discipline and an attitude adjustment toward God, toward self, toward self-control, is what is lacking. Rebellion against God.
Worry either strangles us or distracts us.
Life is not attendance at The College of Halos and Harps. Just remember, God always stays calm. Stay calm—stay in control.
Do you want to know how to deepen your prayer life? The answer is pray more. Want a closer walk with God? Stop running, stop turning your back, stop blaming God. “Stand still, look at my face, my Word, know that I AM.”
