The basis for our study begins in these two short paragraphs:
Life and death are generational. Truth and untruth are generational. Sin is generational. Faith and forgiveness are generational.
Mercy is generational (Luke 1:50). Justice and injustice are generational. Righteousness and lawlessness are generational.
With these things in mind, parent(s) have the responsibility to teach their children the Truths of God’s Word, especially the Gospel of Salvation through Jesus Christ alone.
As believers, IF we do not live for Christ and teach our children and grandchildren to follow Christ, the world will teach them to live for self.
Today, the culture and modern media electronics are raising our children, and our children have become the parents — telling their parents no and yes. Parenting is a generational thing. When the parent does not tell their children no, when appropriate, the children will tell the parents no, and God as well!
Faith is a generational thing. Christian parents must SHOW their children what it means to follow Jesus. Show them what it is like to truly love the Lord and be obedient to His ways. Be the example Dad and Mom, because the world and the culture give our children plenty of wrong examples.
The Gospel of Good News is the most important knowledge that man can learn. Jesus died on the Cross for the sins of all mankind. Jesus paid our debt. Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and be saved (Acts 16:31).
“Always be ready to give anyone an answer for the hope that is in you.” Please reference: Deuteronomy 4:10; Proverbs 22:6; Matthew 28:19; Ephesians 4:11; 1 Peter 3:14-15.
THE ETERNAL WORD
The Bible is another of God’s gifts to mankind. Jesus Christ is THE ETERNAL WORD who always existed with God, and is God, John 1:1. “And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us.” Matthew 3:17; Mark 1:11; Luke 3:22; 2 Peter 1:17.
POINT OF TRUTH:
God is referred to as ‘God the Father‘ after Jesus is born (see 2 John 1:3). “The Word became flesh and dwelt among us” (John 1:14).
Pause for a moment, please, and take in the following Scripture references in your Study Bible: 1 Corinthians 8:6; Galatians 1:1,3; Ephesians 6:23; Philippians 2:11; 1 Thessalonians 1:1; 2 Timothy 1:2; Titus 1:4; 1 Peter 1:2; 2 Peter 1:17. Now, take a moment or two to meditate and focus on these passages. There’s quite a lot to truly think about and process, and it is well worth your time to do so.
THE BIBLE IS QUICKENED — a living language, and powerful (Hebrews 4:12). THE WORD OF GOD IS INSPIRED BY GOD. INSPIRED MEANS GOD-BREATHED (2 Timothy 3:16). God gives His Word life, just as He gives mankind life — His breath of life. God is awesome.
THE WRITTEN WORD OF GOD
The Bible is God’s WRITTEN Word, recorded for the express benefit of mankind, especially for all those in every generation who would believe in Christ Jesus.
“So My Word that comes from My mouth shall not return to me empty (void), but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it” (Isaiah 55:11).
“Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.” (Matthew 24:35; Mark 13:31).
Have you received Christ as your personal Savior with the result that you have become a child of God? See John 1:12; John. 3:15-18: John 3:36; Acts 16:31; Romans 5:8.
Let Jesus Christ (Truth) Reign and Ring America, so that: FREEDOM IS GENERATIONAL. EACH GENERATION MUST KEEP TRUTH AND PASS IT ON TO THE NEXT GENERATION, OR LOSE IT.
TRUTH and UNTRUTH ARE GENERATIONAL. Did you teach your children TRUTH? The world teaches them untruth. Untruth is alive and a powerful influence. Truth must be taught, because untruth is lived everyday.
Pray for revival in America. America must turn back to God and teach the Truth of the Gospel or lose its freedom to the untruths of the world. NO MAN CAN BE TRUSTED TO LEAD THE WORLD! ONLY THE GOD-MAN JESUS CHRIST CAN LEAD THE WORLD IN TRUTH. Just keep in mind: God has always blessed America, but He won’t continue to do so if society remains on its current destructive path. We, as believers, hold the very fabric of our great nation together through our daily walk with God, by studying and growing in Him, and in vigilant prayer for the Lord to save and revive us as a people, not just in America, but the world over.
