Inordinate desire is the lust to exalt oneself above others, without regard for them or God, and self-promotion, even if harm to others is necessary. This is a manifestation of the infestation of arrogance in man’s nature. Inordinate desire originated with Lucifer who became Satan at his fall in eternity past (Ezekiel 28:12-15).
Inordinate desire becomes narcissistic, enamored with self-importance. Sparks of arrogance ignite the flames of power lust and greed and all that is anti-God, anti-Christ, anti-Bible, and anti-Christian. Inordinate desire results in the attempted overthrow of authority especially God’s. It is mutiny against God and man. It becomes hate and terror and evil.
