Gospel literally means “Good News” for lost humanity. Jesus Christ died and rose from the dead for you, the unbeliever, so you could be forgiven past sin. That is fantastic news. Used also for Angels as messengers of good news to mankind (John 3:15-18, 36; Acts 16:31; Ephesians 1:13.)
