Your understanding of salvation and the filling of the Holy Spirit comes by means of faith-perception. Knowledge, understanding, acceptance, belief.
Faith-perception (meditation and recall of doctrine) makes the power of the Holy Spirit and the spiritual life of the believer, a reality in our thinking. Reality is NOT what we feel, NOT what we assume, NOT what tradition or religion has taught us, but Bible Doctrine taught by our mentor — the Holy Spirit (2 Corinthians 5:7; 2 Peter 1:3, 19-21). LEARN GOD! You cannot love God anymore than you know God.
Every believer is indwelt by the Holy Spirit and as a result, the recipient of the ministries and mentoring of the Holy Spirit (John 7:9; Romans 5:5; 8:9; 1 Corinthians 3:16; 6:19; Galatians 4:6; 1 John 3:24). Be sure to read Ephesians 3:14-21.
