If everyone respected God what would the world be like? If all men loved one another, what would our relationships be like? Here are just a few possible scenarios: there would be no more war, no more aggression, no more suffering, no more homelessness and no more disrespect for Jesus Christ.
Now, perhaps you can better appreciate what Christ meant when He said: “YOU WILL LOVE THE LORD YOUR GOD WITH ALL YOUR HEART, AND WITH ALL YOUR SOUL, AND WITH ALL YOUR MIND. This is the FIRST and greatest commandment. And the second is like unto it, YOU SHALL LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR AS YOURSELF. On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.” (Matthew 22:37-40. See also Leviticus 19:18. Matthew 7:12; Galatians 5:14.)
Respect and Love are words of wisdom. Wisdom is the exercise of knowledge from God applied to the details of life. Wisdom is Divine Viewpoint. Divine Viewpoint is found in God’s Word. When was the last time you spent a few moments of quiet time listening to the Lord and reading Scripture alone with God? God is Love!
