“Everyone that is of the truth, heareth my voice” (John 18:37).
“But the natural man receives not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them because they are spiritually ‘dormant'” (1 Corinthians 2:14).
The Bible is “the mind of Christ“ (1 Corinthians 2:16). HIS mind is a terrible thing to waste. The light of scripture ever shines for a darkened world to see – a lighthouse for humanity to find his/her way through the darkness in the devil’s world.
“The Word of God is living and powerful, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of the soul and the spirit, and of the joints and the marrow, and is a critic of the thoughts and intents of the heart” (Hebrew 4:12).
“All Scripture is inspired by God (God-breathed), and is profitable for doctrine (teaching), for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that (here is the reason) the man of God might be mature, thoroughly furnished unto all good works“ (2 Timothy 3:16-17).
“Study to show yourself approved unto God, a workman that need not be ashamed, rightly dividing the Word of Truth” (2 Timothy 2:15),
Our goal here at WOTM is the pursuit and presentation of Biblical Truths, without bias. Our emphasis is on the Person and work of Jesus Christ – Messiah/Yeshua. Jesus Christ came in the flesh (John 1:14) and is both God and man in one unique person forever (John 1:1). Christ is Sovereign, yet He willingly became subordinate to save (rescue and restore) humanity. Jesus Christ is the centrality of history. “For in Him we live and move and have our being” (Acts 17:28; John 6:53-58; Philippians 2:6).
To truly understand life here on earth, in time, we must understand the interventions of God by redemptive actions throughout history. But the most important intervention of all is the meanings behind the birth, the life (earth-walk), crucifixion death, and the resurrection of Jesus Christ.
Bible doctrine can change your thinking forever. Learn God.
MORALITY IS ESTABLISHED BY GOD
We must understand and believe that morality is true, and live by it. Morality is a necessity because of the rebellious nature in all mankind. Morality is a divine institution.
“There must be respect for God, else man shall perish from the earth.”
Respect God. Learn God (2 Timothy 2:15; 3:16-17; Hebrews 4:12). We must respect the only True Living God – the God who gave us our moral code. Morality is true! Without morality, “how should we then live.” If each man lives by his own truth, who is right? “I am right,” replied every man.
Conclusion: “Truth is not relative, it is absolute.”
Absolute truth is necessary not only to ethics, but to the survival of a civilized society. Word of Truth Ministries strives to defend and define divine truth, without bias; not as personal opinion, not by any private interpretation, but as God’s Absolute Truth revealed in the Original Signature (language), of the Holy Bible.
There is nothing more important in life than our relationship with God, which comes only through Jesus Christ (John 14:6; Acts 4:12). Therefore, God’s Word (John 1:1,14), is living and written. The Mind of Christ is the First and the Last Imperative, the Alpha and the Omega (Revelation 22:13).
GOOD AND EVIL
We live in a world of good and evil, light and darkness, truth and untruth, but why is that? Where do we find the answer to this question and many others? How can we know that Truth is true?
In John 18:38, Pilate asked “What is truth?” Jesus answered this question in John 14:6: “I Am The Way, The Truth and The Life.“
The Lord Jesus Christ is literally Truth personified.
Have you found the Way? Have you learned the Truth? Have you believed in and received the Savior, Jesus the Christ? He died on the cross in your place – so you could live with Him in His place, forever (Romans 5:8; John 14:2-6; 1 Corinthians 2:9). “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and you will be saved“ (Acts 16:31). May the Holy Spirit quicken your faith and encourage your heart to personally believe in Christ.
In Philippians 2:6, the phrase “who being (“huparchon” in the original Greek of the first century) in the form of God,” (implies His pre-existent deity previous to His physical birth, and His forever, continuing deity, afterwards). In Acts 17:28 the phrase “we have our being” represents the present tense of the verb “to be,” that is “we are.”
Jesus Christ is the Great “I AM“ (Exodus 3:14). I AM means “to be.” The verb “we are,” or “we exist,” expresses nearly the same thing with one significant difference: the life we believers possess has a beginning, but no ending. So, we have a beginning of eternal life, which to be properly understood and technically expressed is called everlasting life. As born-again believers (John 3:3,5,7) we have “everlasting life” – a new beginning without ever ending.
At the point of salvation (faith in Christ) the Holy Spirit quickens (makes alive) the dormant/dead human spirit. This quickening is the revived human spirit – the impartation of eternal life never to be dormant/dead again because of the doctrine of imputation, which is the imputed righteousness of God to the believer “… and so shall we ever be with the Lord” (Romans 6:11,23; 1 Timothy 1:16; 2 Timothy 2:10; 1 Corinthians 15:22; Galatians 6:8; Ephesians 2:5; Hebrews 5:9; 9:12; 1 John 5:11-13,20).
“For I determined not to know anything among you, except Jesus Christ and Him crucified” (1 Corinthians 2:2).
The Bible is God’s Truths for teaching and instruction in righteousness (2 Timothy 3:16-17). Come, learn, believe, receive, share and apply.
As believers in Jesus Christ, we look heavenward and anxiously await the rapturous shout to “come up hither.“ Amen, and Amen.
MORE ON TRUTH
Biblical Truths exists in three categories:
- Divine Laws of Establishment – for believers and unbelievers.
- Gospel of Salvation – for unbelievers.
- The Word of God – for believers.
Integrity is loyalty to Truth. Christian integrity is faithfulness to God.
“The sum of Your Word is Truth, and every one of Your Righteous ordinances is everlasting” (Psalm 119:160).
God’s Truths anchor the soul.
Bible doctrine in the memory center is divine power (Hebrews 4:12). “Oh, the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God” (Romans 11:33a).
“How blessed is the man who finds wisdom… and gains understanding of the Lord” (Proverbs 3:13).
Right now, if you will, bow your head, ask the Lord to give you a deeper yearning to know Him; to fill your soul with eternal things in His Word (Matthew 5:6; John 7:37). Then find a good Bible-teaching church and begin your personal spiritual journey with the Lord.
Scripture learning and metabolism prepares the believer for the everyday circumstances in life. If you will study God’s Word daily, you will not faint from life’s adversities (Proverbs 24:10).
The Lord has a personal plan for you – the believer. Therefore, your first responsibility as a born-again (John 3:3,5,7) believer is to study and learn God (2 Timothy 2:15) and apply His knowledge (divine viewpoint) to the details and circumstances of your everyday life (Colossians 3:13-17).
Scripture teaching and Bible doctrine, as used and intended by this ministry, are synonymous terms. May your personal walk with God through fields of grace be in Truth.
SPECIAL NOTE: The Terms and Definitions (T&D) section is strongly recommended for every believer who desires to advance in Bible knowledge and mature as a believer. T&D defines many of the major theological doctrines of Scripture in brief. These terms and definitions help bring key precepts from the mind’s ear to the mind’s eye.
There are countless quotes that add image to the precept. Precepts tell us what to do, concepts help us visualize how to perform it. For example the verb illustrate in our English comes from the Latin word lustre, to cast light on something or to clarify.
POETRY IN MOTION
One of the special effects of poetry is the use of artistic words and phrases, adjectives that add color or drama – artistic images to the readers imagination. Imagination is a wonderful gift from God, let it shine with Scripture.
“The mind of man is picture-driven, so each person may see God in his own God-given light.” – C. S. Craig
