The Indwelling of God
God indwells every believer for fellowship and relationship.
If you are indeed a believer in the finished work of Christ on the cross, you are indwelt by the Holy Spirit. But do we truly realize what that means? Do we understand the significance of the indwelling of God?
No one else in the world can read your mind except the Lord. That makes our relationship with Him special. But, this is only half the story because God has given us “the mind of Christ” so we can read His mind (2 Corinthians 2:16). Now our relationship is complete.
The Holy Spirit uses the Bible doctrine we have studied and learned to “speak” to us, to guide us, to light our path, to give us hope, and to sustain us in the difficult times of life. He cannot accomplish this if we have little to no doctrine stored in our souls.
The importance of studying and learning the Word—the literal mind of Christ—cannot be overstated.
We, as believers in our Lord Jesus Christ, live with God’s divine empowerment and we are sealed by the Holy Spirit forever. A mind is a terrible thing to waste, and we have the mind of Christ. Do you waste it?
Study and learn God’s Word. Don’t waste it. Learn it, store it in your soul, and use it daily.
