Meditations – A Prayer-Walk

Inspiration from God is subtle, but sometimes it can be a wonderful experience. Have you ever considered keeping track of your meditations?

You must be on guard to recognize God’s inspiration, against your own desires. Write down your meditations and keep them as a sort of ‘diary’ of your personal and quiet walk with the Lord. Review them often. Compare Scripture with Scripture, thought with thought. Pray often. Meditate in God’s Holy Word.

Word of Truth Ministries is the result of countless hours of meditation and prayer with an open Bible. Your personal Bible study/meditations should be the same.

Inspiration can be a wonderful experience. We need to learn to recognize and appreciate when God inspires us. Quiet yourself, open your heart, and listen with an open Bible. Read Scripture. Listen to Scripture stored in your soul and spirit.

Consider the following meditations:

“Help us Father as we pass through all the things temporal, to the things eternal. And while occupied with things eternal, help us Lord to return to our temporal world renewed in spirit, prepared for serving You.”

It matters what Heaven desires. It matters that the throne of our soul is Your seat. It matters that You remain seated to keep us dethroned.

Please help us realize that Your teaching walks with us and your words are everlasting; that these walks are just like the walks You took in the Garden of Eden with Adam and Eve.

Lord, is it not each man’s walk with You that prepares the next generation? “A little one shall become a thousand, and a small one a strong nation: I the Lord will hasten it in its time” (Isaiah 60:22).

Is it not solitude and meditation that prepares each man for today and tomorrow – for each journey ahead?

Is it not by silence that we hear Your voice and feel Your presence?

Lord, is not obedience the road to freedom? Is not humility the road of salvation and servant-ship? Is not the cross the way to life eternal? Wow! That is so awesome, Lord.

Lord, You have written that the value of each man is measured by his relationship to You through Your Son, Jesus Christ, and the filling (fellowship) of Your Holy Spirit.

Thank You, Lord for these thoughts. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Please open the Word of Truth to  Revelation 3:20:

INTIMACY WITH THE SAVIOR

A Brief Look at Fellowship – “Walking with God in Fields of Grace”

“Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me” (Revelation 3:20).

Please note: This verse’s wonderful promise is written to the Seven Churches in the Roman province of Asia – therefore, it is written to believers, and the Lord Jesus is speaking about fellowshipping with Him on a personal basis. Fellowship with our Savior is how we live the Christian life. This verse should not be construed as “evidence” for “inviting Jesus into your heart” for Salvation. This verse has nothing to do with Salvation, it is in regards to fellowship.

Revelation 3:20 talks about our walk with Christ, and it speaks to our hearts to have supper (fellowship and meditation) with our Lord as often as we will. As often as we will, even continuously. It is an open invitation to sit with Christ at the communion table on a continuous basis – the table of fellowship and quiet time on bended knee (soul-knees), just meditating in your spirit with the Lord. It is talking about intimate relationship. Christ wants to be close to you, for your benefit. Everything God does for us is for our benefit. Prayer is for our benefit.

We are Christ’s little lambs.

I WillHave you ever held a little lamb in your arms? There is something very special and adoring going on when we let Christ our Lord hold us in His Arms – something Heavenly.

Oh, Jesus, my Jesus, I Love you.

Please, for your personal benefit, turn in your Bible to 1 John 4:7-21 and read it a few times, and remember God is speaking to you. God’s Word is for you!

When we leave the table of intimate fellowship, without being excused, we have chosen to act independently of the Lord. Isaiah, in Isaiah 59:2, tells us that our sins separates us from God – sins have come between God and each of us: “But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid His face from you, that He will not hear.” Come back to the table and sit with the Lord. Name your sins if you have been negligent, and God restores you to fellowship each and every time.

Turn to 1 John 1:7-9 and read it again carefully. Meditate on it, for this too is God’s invitation to open the door, because God is “knocking,” desiring fellowship.

“The Lord is always knocking when you are not walking with Him.”

Did the light just come on?

The grace-life is produced and directed by God. Salvation is designed by God and performed by Jesus Christ, just for you, His little lamb. The Holy Spirit calls us to faith by God’s Word. Are you listening? Are you devoting time to God’s Word every day? If not, why not?

God does the work, we receive the benefit – this is Grace. Salvation, personal fellowship, and living the Christian life are provided and performed by God for our eternal benefit. What a truly awesome God we have – we are God-blessed beyond life and death, forever and forever.

Come, let us walk together with the Lord. Our cross-over place is just up the road… I can see it now…

In Closing:

God = Glory; Jesus Christ = Honor; Holy Spirit = Power.

Holy! Holy! Holy! is the Lord (Isaiah 6:3; Revelation 4:8). HOLY – the Father;  HOLY – the Son; HOLY – the Holy Spirit. Whenever we read Holy, Holy, Holy in Scripture, remember it is speaking of the Trinity.

I AM THAT I AM.

“This is my name.”

“This is who I AM!”

The Lord says, “Come, walk with Me and talk with Me in fields of Grace.”

Come now, and let us reason together, saith the Lord: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.

Next time you meditate, try writing out your thoughts. As you think and listen to the still small voice of the Lord, record your thoughts. God bless you by His Holy Spirit, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen, and Amen. Come soon Lord Jesus.

Happy Studying!
