The “Heathen”

Heathenism, or The “Heathen”

The definition of Heathenism exists for two reasons: where the Gospel has been preached and rejected, or where people have reached God-consciousness and rejected God (Isaiah 40:17-21; Romans 1:18-30; 10:18; 2 Thessalonians 1:8).

Since God is perfect righteousness, perfect justice, and omniscient (all-knowing), it is impossible for God to be unfair to any member of the human race, and therefore God knows whenever any person, anywhere, becomes God-conscious and wants to know Him, in which case God would deliver the message of salvation through Jesus Christ to that individual, even in uncivilized jungles divorced from the world… nothing is impossible for God.

Your concept of God may need adjusting if you do not understand that God will always supply the Gospel to anyone searching for God: (Jeremiah 29:13; John 7:17. Reference also John chapters 9 and 10; and Acts 17:27).

God wills that all members of the human race be saved by believing in His Son (2 Peter 3:9), but not all will believe.

The doctrine of Unlimited Atonement proves that God wants all men to be saved… that is why Christ died. But, God respects our freedom to chose to believe or to not believe (2 Corinthians 5:14,15,19; 1 Timothy 2:6; 4:10; Titus 2:11; Hebrews 2:9; 2 Peter 2:1; 1 John 2:2).

People, whether believers or unbelievers, reveal that they do not have much Bible knowledge and that they have a poor understanding of who and what God is. The arrogance of disbelief borders on blasphemy, and there is no excuse for arrogance. The only way the unbeliever is going to understand the things of God is to believe that God IS, and that God is a rewarder of anyone who seeks Him.

Believers need to believe in the Essence of God as absolute and unbelievers need to humble themselves and accept Christ before they perish in unbelief.
