Thoughts to Ponder in Your Walk with the Lord
READ, LINGER, PROCESS…
Sobriety reveals one’s sweetness; alcohol releases one’s suppressed emotions. It is interesting that alcohol keeps the alcoholic in denial of addiction—the guilt of drinking keeps them away from church and the Lord’s day. Alcohol breaks apart marriages, it keeps families apart, it ruins relationships, it is a guilt trip, it causes paranoia and cirrhosis of the liver. It ages the flesh.
On the cross, Christ never called attention to Himself, instead, He called all to come to Him.
If you can think and live beyond the flesh, the universe and God await you.
Sudden fear short-circuits natural thought and reaction time. Stay calm. Stay in control.
It is the sacrifice of your gift to the Lord, not the size.
Whatever you do, do it in memory of the Lord, do it in honor of the Lord, do it unto the Lord, do it with thanksgiving—always giving thanks.
The filling of the spirit is not emotion, it’s devotion. God has a plan. Emotion can cause us to abandon truth. God must be allowed to direct and help us do the right thing—to do truth! Stop the emotional-roller coaster lifestyle.
The delay of God’s return is for His display of His will for His glory, not yours, not mine. Jesus has and is power over life, over death, over feelings and addictions and our emotions.
Physical death is the beginning of eternal life, which has no beginning. Therefore, it is the beginning of life everlasting.
Truth is clothed in garments of beauty and stones of perfection.
Life can be searched by the finest minds, but no final, complete answers are ever learned.
The wisdom of the world is not the answer.
Revelation that fulfills comes from God.
Fear God and obey his words—this is the duty of man (Ecclesiastes 12:13).
We need to live in the Light of Eternity. Christ is the light of eternal life—live in Christ. Each of us walk our own road. The road we walk is known—foreknown by God, and He has covered it with His personal plan. God provided his Word, living in His Son, written in our hearts, printed on pages of paper and history, which are a lamp unto our feet, a light for our path. Walk with God. Walk in the light of God’s Word. Carry your cross home, because Christ died alone for you. It is beyond description in the light—eternal light.
The fallen angels’ pride
betrayed Him deep inside
brought rebellion outside
the day the angels died.
Life is gone from her eyes
her soul has fled
her flesh is dead.
Life in heaven multiplied
by faith in Christ who died.
Life is gone… called to the other side.
Heavenly thoughts soft and white
like snowflakes on my soul alight.
Clothed in love in the depths of me
Transfigured to eternity—
Transcended in his purity.
Beauty is truth, is beauty.
Jesus sees our audacity, our arrogance and hypocrisy. He describes all of us in Matthew 15: 7-19.
