Gospel literally means “good news” for lost humanity. Jesus Christ, the Living God, died and rose from the dead for the unbeliever. That is fantastic news.
Used also for angels as messengers of good news to mankind (John 3:15-18,36; Acts 16:31; Ephesians 1:13).
