Deity Of Christ

Jesus Christ is God. Period. He is co-equal and co-eternal with the Father and the Holy Spirit (John 1:1-14; 14:8,9; Colossians 1:15-19; Hebrews 1:1-14; 1 John1:1,2). He is a member of the Trinity (Colossians 2:9). He has always had the same essence as the Father and the Holy Spirit.

Jesus Christ has always been the revealed or visible person of the Godhead in the Old and New Testament. He is the “Shekinah Glory” throughout Scripture.

During the incarnation, He became true humanity while totally retaining his deity. He was and is true God and true humanity in one person forever. He is truly the unique person in the universe (Matthew 28:19; Acts 2:38; 5:4,5; 2 Corinthians 13:14). Christ, as the God-Man, is referred to in theological terms as “The Doctrine of the Hypostatic Union.”

For the Deity of God and the Holy Spirit reference the “The Trinity,” and the “Essence of God.”
