The Cross — The Eternal Place of Communion
Christ died so that even the ones who crucified Him could be saved. His cross work stands in total contrast to the darkness in man’s soul, reaching out and shining forth like a beacon to light the way back to God. This lighted cross of Christ stands in stark contrast to human religion. The cross defines love and giving and sacrifice.
On our knees at the foot of the cross, we may freely kiss the feet of Christ—what an honor, what a pleasure. Worship is an intimate, personal experience when love and truth become one. The cross is the eternal place of communion between God and man.
The loneliness of the human heart and the struggles of the intellect find peace and fulfillment at the foot of the cross, at the feet of Jesus. Kneeling at the cross, humbled in total adoration, is the greatest of all experiences in life and death. When truth is tested against reality, wonder finds the reality of truth.
The greatest of all expressions is love. Love is the fulfillment of truth, and truth expresses the light of God in Christ. Grace freely flows through the cross where God displaces mercy—His very self.
