Right, Wrong, and Truth — NEW!

Right and Wrong

Life is far too complicated to navigate by “do” and “don’t.” This is why the 10 Commandments give us guideposts for successfully coping and living together—in other words, our means of survival and perpetuation.

If we are expected not to do wrong, then we must know what is right. Since we do not know all that is right, we cannot be sure of all that is wrong. The Constitution of the United States provides us with our rights, our freedoms, and the written assurance of justice based on these inalienable rights.

I find it so very interesting that we must have a code of conduct between us that keeps us both together and apart. Since all humans are human, we all have the same nature. However, that nature is strong in some and weaker in others, therefore there can never be equality. It is the inequality of our nature that disqualifies us from individually assuming authority over another.

Majority power has many faces in many places, all looking at each other so that we all keep all in order. The ideas of “right” can be applied in so many ways. The ideas of “wrong” can be applied in so many ways as well. Therefore, who is to say what the weight of either may be?

The fact that we need ruling guideposts demonstrates not only a deficiency but a necessity for a Supreme Court of Justice—God, who is also the Justice of the Supreme Court of Heaven.

We must live by ethical norms and spiritual standards from Biblical Instruction. Because of sin in the flesh, believers must learn their responsibility to think (metabolize) and apply (live out) God’s word. Nothing replaces the privacy of Bible study absorbed into your soul.

Legalism is one of the most depraved functions of baby believers. It is carnality and the twin function of religious unbelievers. Apostasy has many forms and faces such as hypocrisy, legalism, and self righteousness. It is in turning from Bible teaching to rituals and showmanship, jealousy, bitterness, and envy. Apostasy is corporate nature in charge in the congregation with the same manifestations as the human nature—human nature in charge in the assembly. It is dead men’s bones.

Truth

We must establish an objective standard and we must do so without subjective judgment. But, can man be objective without subjectivity? By our very nature, can we alone define truth? Can we live truth?

Without the precept of God, or at least the acceptance of a transcendent natural order of life (creation), man is doomed to his own illusions, his own emptiness of mind, a mind alone without God.

Life is from God, and all subjectivity is from the fall. We must allow God to pick us up from our fall individually, one person at a time—God’s love is a very personal thing.

Truth matters because love is an expression of truth. Love is not sentimentality, and love is absolutely not subjective as is sentimentality. How can we not accept truth and love as absolutes? Life is intrinsic from God, life is, because God is.

There is, by absolute necessity, a wonderful God who hung the world on nothing. The earth is full of life energy, suspended on nothing in a desolate and barren universe. God helps man to see God or else we become false gods of self without hope.
