We live today in a divided world and a divided country, and this is by design.
God works even through our weaknesses, and for His purposes, which will eventually bring blessings to believers and glory to God through Christ.
Christ must be first and foremost in our thinking.
Horizontal: Gain the world for yourself, serve yourself, and lose yourself and eternity with the Lord.
Vertical: Lose the world for Christ, serve Christ, and, through faith and belief in Christ, gain eternity with the Lord.
God is the reality of life.
Humanity has too large a view of humanity, and too small a view of God, because they don’t know the doctrines of the Bible. What a human tragedy.
The believer should be a student of the Word. Each student should be motivated to learn God that they become so saturated, so fascinated with God that the whole being is set aglow with a spiritual radiance which can never be dimmed.
Scripture is spiritually radiant (inspired), breathed out from God in exhale, for the inhale and application to fallen humanity.
The supreme object of Scripture is revealing the Father’s plan for the human race, centered in and executed by His Son, Christ Jesus the Lord.
The inability to stay in control of oneself is one of man’s greatest weaknesses—another is trying to control others.
Calm despair is the patience of faith.
It doesn’t matter what position the body is in if the soul is on its knees.
