The often heard term “Mother Nature” is a revival from paganism. It is a derivative of “Mother Earth.” Mother Earth was worshiped by the goddess cults of the ancient Middle East. Nature is not a deity. However, calling Creation “Nature” or “Mother Earth” is deification which deliberately discredits and denies God as Creator. Creation on the other hand demands a creator and it demands faith. Believers, who trust Jesus Christ, should abstain from using the terms Mother Earth or Nature as much as possible.
Enjoy our beautiful earth — God’s Creation for all mankind. Creation is another of God’s wonderful gifts to us.
