Thought to Ponder in Your Walk with the Lord (Part Ninety-Seven)

We are living creatures designed to contain and express ourselves. We cannot be empty or void. Though created perfect, Adam and Eve defaulted and the human race was immediately thrust into angelic warfare.

Most people are not sorry for the wrong they’ve done, they are sorry they got caught – shamed when exposed, we are born into a reality submerged in spiritual warfare and we are at enmity with our Creator.

The Word of God opens our eyes to our own character – the antithesis of God. Our tour of this reality comprises contrasting thinking and the resulting actions are contrary to the Creator. Instead of reflecting God, we reflect evil. We are genuine players in the dramas of life – our experiences are quite real. We are inherited and our behavior seems energized by an evil cosmos. God testifies of Himself by creation, by the Bible, by Jesus Christ the Living Word. Our creators wisdom is employed with perfect skill in the amphitheater of life, while allowing freedom of choice. From children of wrath, we must turn to children of faith, whose father can be God (Ephesians 2:2,3).

We were born spiritually fatherless; through Christ we are reborn into the family of God, our Creator. This restoration of sonship makes Father God our biological father – as in original creation, as well as our Spiritual Father.

The Prince of the air is master of illusion and Satan manages his domain by invisible forces.

Ego lives high in its lofty place, shouting “Who will bring me down?” flying high like the eagle, our heads in the stars. But, the Lord will bring us down because the pride in our hearts has deceived us.

Man will drink and drink until they become as if they have never been.

As long as unbelievers remain indifferent toward God’s Son, they will struggle and blame God for suffering and injustice. Satan rules this fallen world we live in, but God receives the blame. God settled this issue in a subjective way: the cross. The forbidden tree in the Garden of Eden was replaced for a second viewing – the cross. The cross invites humanity to eat, but only a remnant will taste the glory of God in Christ. The cross-life tree waits in the Garden of Grace.

There is a thin, precarious line, like a crust, that separates freedom and tyranny. Tyranny lies in wait just beneath the surface. Anarchy will explode like Mount St. Helens if the powers that be attempt to take away our guns, take away our ability to own a home, or cause fuel prices to soar above the ability of people to pay. Greed, ego, and lust are the evils that work in the minds of men, and when perverted, can destroy freedom, jobs, law and order, and civilizations. What humanity needs is a Savior’s return to destroy evil once and for all. Until Christ returns, beware and be prepared.

There are two powers – good and evil. One is God and one is the devil. Notice the last four letters of the devil’s name. It is the Bible in the minds of men that control the nature of men – without it man will perish.

If I’m going to be quoted or noted or recorded, my Lord will do it.

God’s righteousness in us defines and convicts.

The faults of time… are there any? If so, name them. Well?

In one’s narrow-minded domestic spheres, one sees only oneself.

Science can only discover the divine laws of establishment, not take the credit.

You will be enlightened according to the amount of your light. Jesus is the light. God’s Word is light. Stay in the light, which is to say stay intimate with the Lord in the study of His Word, but do so in the light of fellowship.

In the prowess of human depravity there is no place for God’s grace.

The seed of life is the Word of God. Christ is the physical personification of the word (Luke 8:11).

Every book of Scripture is an historical extension of Genesis, leading to the final book of time in Revelation.
