Heart

Throughout most of Scripture, the nouns for “heart” usually refer to the right lobe of the soul (and not a “feeling in your heart”). The right lobe is the dominant lobe of the mentality of the soul. The Greek word is kardia (heart). The right lobe consists of: Frame of reference – memory center; Conscience – norms and standards. The left lobe is nous (mind) in the Greek, which is the perceptive lobe. Heart: The center and seat of life, both physical and psychical, including intellectual, emotional, volitional, and spiritual aspects.
