Throughout most of Scripture, the nouns for ‘heart’ usually refer to the right lobe of the soul (and definitely not a ‘feeling in your heart’). The right lobe is the dominant lobe of the mentality of the soul. The Greek word is ‘kardia’ (heart). The right lobe consists of: Frame of reference – (memory center); Conscience – (norms and standards). The left lobe is NOUS (mind) in the Greek, which is the perceptive lobe. Heart: The center and seat of life, both physical and psychical, including intellectual, emotional, volitional, and spiritual.
