Faith-Perception
(Based on Roman 8:28-32)
Your understanding of salvation and the filling of the Holy Spirit comes by means of faith-perception—knowledge, understanding, acceptance, belief.
Faith-perception (meditation and recall of doctrine) makes the power of the Holy Spirit, and the spiritual life of the believer, a reality in our thinking. Reality is not what we feel, not what we assume, not what tradition or religion has taught us, but Bible doctrine taught by our mentor—the Holy Spirit (2 Corinthians 5:7; 2 Peter 1:3,19-21) and, hopefully, by the pastor in the local church. Learn God.
You cannot love God any more than you know God.
Every believer is indwelt by the Holy Spirit and, as a result, is the recipient of the ministries and mentoring of the Holy Spirit (John 7:9; Romans 5:5; 8:9; 1 Corinthians 3:16; 6:19; Galatians 4:6; 1 John 3:24). Be sure to read Ephesians 3:14-21.
