The Holy of Holies
The Holy of Holies is located in the most inward place in the center of the temple. The Holy of Holies was holy because of God’s presence. The believer’s human spirit is in the most inward part of themselves and it is here where God resides (John 4:23,24).
The temple in Jerusalem had three main sections: The outer court, the holy place, and the holy of holies. The believer, as a trichotomous being, is designed by God also with three components which correspond to the Hebrew temple model. God will teach us how to worship and function in His indwelling place, through intake of Bible doctrine and the filling of the Holy Spirit.
Ephesians 2:21&22, 1 Peter 2:5,9 and 1 Corinthians 3:12 reference God’s dwelling place in us who believe.
Our mission as ambassadors in the devil’s world is to express God by His Word in us. Religion builds beautiful temples for worship, but God rejects these temple structures in favor of personally indwelling believers. Believers are the real materials of God’s heavenly building. The Spirit of Christ is a river within the believer which delivers the divine nature as an ointment to accomplish within us God’s pre-designed plan for humanity via the cross work of Christ.
