Thoughts To Ponder In Your Walk With The Lord (Part Sixty-Two)

READ, LINGER, PROCESS…

What part of integrity can we ignore and still remain truthful? What part will we ignore for gain? Fortune? Fame?

God is integrity! We have volition. It isn’t easy living in the flesh. It isn’t easy to accept the reality of who I am. Paul, the Apostle was so right – he too wrestled with his self, his sin-nature.

This battle is in the soul, it is a battle for the soul, and it is serious. Life is serious and gone the next second – ready or not.

I walked a ways with laughter

but it never lasted long.

I walked a ways with pain

but it never lasted long.

I walked a ways with pleasure

but pleasure steered me wrong.

I walked a ways with love

love can do no wrong.

I walked a ways with sin

but sin kept leading the way.

I walked a ways with God

Who touched me deep within.

Then I walked the rest of the way

in resurrection arms.

The greatest calling is suffering for Christ’s sake (Matthew 5:10; 1 Peter 4:14).

No governing body is the answer to the world’s social problems. Citizens have made their governing bodies into God, and will learn the hard way that the state will always extract from the people while they kneel at the altar. No governing body can (or will) “balance the budget” and can make us neither rich nor happy.

Each new morning is for thanksgiving, praise, soul-filling, and dancing with God.

Sadness has a refining influence. It holds, in its grip, questions searching for answers. Sadness searches out the why and questions it. Sadness seeks the face of the Lord.

There are hosts of phantom listeners

to the voices from the world of men.

Silence moved backward then returned again

when phantoms listened in.

Take rebuke with a humble heart and do not sing the song of fools that ridicule from a vain heart.

Wisdom gives understanding to life. Wisdom gives life to understanding.

Wisdom lights up wonder and softens our understanding.

Wisdom is far, far better than riches.

Wickedness does not deliver, it destroys the souls of men as they dance together, fools forever.

The living know that they live. The dead who passed without Christ know nothing… except it is too late.
