Thoughts To Ponder In Your Walk With The Lord (Part Six)

Because Christ is the centrality of human history, it is imperative that Christ be the center of the believer’s life (thinking). Reference Philippians 1:21;2:5;4:12.

Christ came from eternity into time;

from heaven to earth to serve humankind.

Be at peace with God – believe in God’s Son.

Philippians 4:4-9:

4 Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I will say, rejoice!

5 Let your gentleness be known to all men. The Lord is at hand.

6 Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; 7 and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

Learn humility by Christ’s example (and Paul’s and Timothy’s, for that matter).

Philippians 2:1-8:

Therefore if there is any consolation in Christ, if any comfort of love, if any fellowship of the Spirit, if any affection and mercy, fulfill my joy by being like-minded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind. Let nothing be done through selfish ambition or conceit, but in lowliness of mind let each esteem others better than himself. Let each of you look out not only for his own interests, but also for the interests of others.

Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus, who, being in the form of God, did not consider it robbery to be equal with God, but made Himself of no reputation, taking the form of a bondservant, and coming in the likeness of men. And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross.

Christ first, over success, over material comforts, over security, over high-powered positions. Christ must be before anything or anyone else in life.

“Power and profit” rule the privileged and the world.
