“Defining And Defending Divine Truth In A World Of Untruth”™

This statement defines the Word of Truth Ministries mission, and immediately follows our ministry name on the Home Page of our web site.

At some point in the distant past, I read this powerful statement while studying God and His Perfect Righteousness. Please turn in your Bible to Isaiah 45:19 c: “I, the Lord, speak the Truth; I declare what is right.” From God’s Statement about Himself came our slogan. But, I wanted to give you a more literal translation from the original Hebrew, which I discovered, on Saturday morning, May 25, 2019, about 10:30, as I was reading “Young’s Literal Translation Of The Holy Bible,” page 448, third edition, reprinted 1995 by Baker Books.

Isaiah 45:19 c:I am Jehovah, speaking Righteousness, Declaring unrighteousness.” As you can see, this rendition by Robert Young literally expresses  our mission, verbally … as the LORD spake defining Himself.

Before we move on, as students of God’s Word we must always keep in mind,  as we research God through His Heavenly God-breathed Word, that: The Word of God is made void by the traditions of men.

Having said this, I highly recommend “Young’s Literal Translation Of The Holy Bible.” In addition, I strongly recommend that you get a copy of his Analytical Concordance to the Bible.” It is, to me, more user friendly than the Strong’s Analytical Concordance. I use both to compare references, which tends to be a very enlightening experience.

WHAT IS TRUTH?

Truth exists in three Categories:

  1. Divine Laws of Establishment – for believers and unbelievers
  2. The Gospel of Salvation – for unbelievers
  3. The Word of God – for believers

To answer this question further, let’s surround Truth with a few explanations that help define it:

  • God’s Word is the Word of Truth. Jesus Christ is the Word. Jesus Christ is Truth.
  • Therefore, Truth is a Person Jesus Christ! (John 14:6).
  • The Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit are Absolute Truth.
  • God inspired (breathed into the original writers) the Truth of Scripture.
  • The word Inspired means breathed or breath.
  • Life, light, energy, word, and truth all derive from the same root word ‘breath.’
  • God breathed soul life into Adam and God breathes soul life into every human being at birth since Adam. God breathes life into all living forms. There is no life apart from God’s breath. God, however is a Spirit and Spirits do not breathe as we do, so this is an interesting paradox in itself.
  • The pursuit of truth is never ending because Truth is Eternal, therefore Truth is Absolute.
  • “Thy Word is Truth” (John 17:17). Think on these truths.
  • By understanding these Truths, we hope you are challenged to learn and apply God’s Word.

Integrity is loyalty to truth. Christian integrity is faithfulness to God.

“The sum of Thy Word is Truth, And every one of Thy Righteous ordinances is everlasting.” (Psalms 119:160)

God’s Truths anchor the soul. Bible Doctrine is the Foundation for the building of a spiritual structure of edification of the soul. “Oh, the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God” (Romans 11:33 a).

The depth of God’s riches is the perception of knowledge (scripture). The depth of God’s wisdom is the application of Scripture. “How blessed is the man who finds wisdom … and gains understanding of the Lord” (Proverbs 3:13).

Scripture learning and metabolism (digesting the truths you’ve learned, meditating upon them, then putting them to work in your life) prepares the believer for every circumstance in life. If you will daily study God’s Word you will not faint from life’s adversities (Proverbs 24:10).

The Lord has a plan and a purpose for you — the believer! Therefore, your first responsibility as a believer is to learn Bible Doctrine, which, by the Holy Spirit, keeps the believer moving onward to maturity. In Christ, you cannot move onward without moving upward.

Finally, may I just state that it is with grateful, eternal appreciation to my Heavenly Father for His Plan of Grace expressed by God Himself in The Holy Bible — Divine Truth. God is Truly the Father of Lights which illumine His Holy Word. God’s Divine Spirit quickens our faith, our understanding and lights the path through fields of Grace that leads the believer into His Eternal Light. Do not take God lightly, nor His infallible Word. The Bible is Holy because it is the Received Text from Jehovah to mankind.

— C. S. Craig

May your personal walk through fields of Grace be in Truth.

And happy, happy studying to all those who Love God’s Words. Everyone should care what God thinks!
