Ego Trips and Fame-Seekers

“For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand so that we would walk in them” (Ephesians 2:10).
Notice we are the result of His workmanship, created IN Christ  for good works — GOD HAS A PLAN for each of His children. Even more astounding, notice this verse tells us that we were in God’s thoughts in eternity past billions of years ago. Read it a second time.

God prepared our walk through life before He created the world. “IN Christ Jesus” is an amazing statement because our good works are God’s workmanship IN us. We are in Christ and God is in us fulfilling His purpose for our lives, by the indwelling power of the Holy Spirit in spite of ourselves, and at the same time God gives us freedom to chose whom we will follow — whom we will obey, whom we will believe IN. Now, read this fantastic verse again and again.
We are saved because we are God’s chosen instruments to reveal to the world salvation only IN Christ, for the purpose of good works. Notice: Therefore, as believers we have a job to do ordained  by God, so let’s get with the purposes of the Lord – let us walk in His Fields of Grace. His Plan of Grace is prepared and has been since eternity past. We have a job to do. We have a calling — we are called out ones (SAVED WITH A PURPOSE! God has a PLAN!) We are here to do good works. You and I are God’s ambassadors.
Please open your Bible to 2 Corinthians 5:17-21. Read it and meditate on this wonderful message. It explains to us our purpose and God’s. We are messengers of reconciliation. God has reconciled the lost to Himself through the Cross and resurrection of Christ Jesus. We are God’s official representatives to share the GOSPEL which God has freely provided to all who will accept His Gift — His Son, who died on our Cross, in our place.
As ambassadors for Christ we are seed planters. We are here to help lost humanity find God through His Son. By using God’s Word we are to make evident, (visible) the reign of Jesus to a lost, without Christ world. God offers  each person (the world) forgiveness, resulting in reconciliation, joy and  peace with God the Father. In Philippians, Paul puts things in proper perspective — he puts lofty truths into practical terms. Philippians provides us with a view of Paul’s heart and a closer walk with Christ. People need Christ, this is why Christ came. Humans need to be reconciled to God. God has accomplished the necessary work of our salvation — Christ is the reconciliation which God provided.

PEACE WITH GOD
Knowing Christ more intimately should be every Christians goal and true purpose in life (Philippians 1:21). Jesus is the only prize of life, verses 12-14, the joy and the peace worth finding and living (Philippians 4:4, 7). Christ IS joy and peace.
Think on this: Paul’s chains, his imprisonments and beatings advanced the Gospel in the first century and still do today. Every generation since the tortuous days of Christ and His first followers like Paul,  has the opportunity to be reconciled.  Human nature is the same in every generation, therefore every generation shall have the opportunity. God doesn’t skip-over anybody. Holy Scriptures never need updating. The Bible is fresh and new every morning – the Bible never ages. It is timeless — a piece and peace of eternity.
We are by our very Adamic nature, “fame seekers — egoists.” In a world seeking fame and fortune, Christ Jesus came to seek and to provide a way out. He came to bring us back to the fold. We are lost sheep and the Great Shepherd is calling mankind to come home … come to the Cross. In a world seeking power, Jesus chose to be our servant. In a world chasing pleasure, Jesus chose the Cross.
Please turn in your Bible to Philippians 2:8-11 and meditate on this message from God through Paul, just for you.
Without Christ there is no real experience of God — no forgiveness, no victory over sin habits, and most of all no peace with God. “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and you will be saved.” (Acts 16:31)
If you have believed in Christ, welcome to the royal family of God.
Happy Studying in fields of Grace.
