From the Latin
absolutus meaning complete, totally free from restriction. God is absolute
Truth. To deny absolute truth is to deny God. God is the all-inclusive
embodiment of true reality. God is the only necessary being which means
that He depends on nothing and everything that is anything depends on God. There
can be only one absolute in existence.
From the Greek
abussos which means “bottomless.” This word is used in Luke 8:31; Revelation
9:1. 11; 11:7; 17:8; and 20:1. Satan and his demon followers will be
incarcerated in an abyss during the millennial reign of Christ
Because of faith in the Cross-Work of Christ we have access to the Throne of God. Christ is the only mediator (access) between God and man (I Timothy 2:5; Hebrews 9:15).
God, throughout Scripture uses language that accommodates mankind. An infinite God does not think or act like His finite creation (Isaiah 55:8, 9). The supreme example of God accommodating mankind is the Incarnation of His only begotten Son – Jesus Christ. God became man to accommodate man. Accommodation is God’s own presentation of Himself through communication that provides thought waves of understanding related to human logic. God used human authors and human language to communicate Divine Wisdom.
A Latin word which means - “coming.” The creation awaits the second advent of messiah – Jesus Christ.
The age at which each individual becomes conscious of God and is able to understand the Gospel. (See “Gospel”). The age varies with each individual as well as the ability to understand. For those who become God conscious who have never heard the Gospel of Christ, God knows every single person, where they are located and He is more than capable to reach every person with the Gospel. God since eternity past has always known who will be responsive to the Gospel and who will not. Jesus Christ died for every human being who ever lived or ever will live, but only a minority will receive Him as Savior (Matthew 7:13,14).
From the Greek agnostikos meaning “unknowing” or “ignorance of.” The argument that by reason men can not know God or prove God. Today,
existentialism is a manifestation of agnosticism along with empiricism.
A systematic presentation of an idea that expresses theoretical truths not related to, but obvious in the text. Revealed or substantiated
by comparing Scripture with Scripture to arrive at a conclusion. METAPHORS: a metaphor compares two unlike objects or ideas and
illuminates the similarities between them. A metaphor evokes a mental picture making a picture worth a thousand words. Poetry would be
impoverished; teaching and writing handicapped without metaphorical illustrations. A metaphoric example:
“Metaphoric fragrances are the
inhale of linguistic flowers.” Also: “Conscience is like an owl on the night watch.” C. S. Craig

Comes to us from the Greek word eleemosune “mercy” or “pity.” Used in Matthew 6: 1-4; Acts 10:2; 24:17. It refers to being charitable -
the redistribution of wealth – helping the poor. When we give to the less fortunate God says it is the same as giving to God (Proverbs
19:17). Jesus taught that we should give in secret, not to be seen or known of men else we defeat the heart of giving. Giving is to be
out of compassion for the recipient.
Alpha and Omega are the first and last letters of the Greek alphabet and a Divine Title for the Lord Jesus Christ in Revelation 22:13
signifying Him as the “eternal one,” the beginning and the end of all that exists. The title also signifies Christ’s place in history as
both first and last (John 1:1; Revelation 1:8; 21:6).
A Greek word thusiasterion, which is derived from thusiazo meaning “to
sacrifice.” The alter is a raised place on which sacrifices were made to God
(Genesis 4:3; 8:20; Matthew 5:23-24; 23: 18-20, 35; Luke 11:51). A sacrifice
that establishes communion between God and those who eat the thing offered.
Christians during communion symbolically partake of the Lords body until He
returns to take us home or calls us hither to be with Him. The Cross of Christ
caused Him to be raised (nailed above the ground) as the sacrifice (atonement)
for the sins mankind. The Infinite God-Christ became the alter of infinite
sacrifice.
Every believer is a personal representative; a spiritual ambassador; a “Royal Ambassador” of Jesus Christ on earth (in the devil’s world) until Christ comes again (2 Corinthians 5:20). We are not citizens of this world, we are citizens of heaven (Philippians 3:20).
The original Hebrew root word implied “firmness” or “solidity” meaning “a sure thing.” Jesus Christ is the manifestation of the word
Amen. He is "The Great Amen" because He is proof of God’s faithfulness to His promise of Messiah. He came the first time and was rejected
by religion. He will come again in great power and victory. He shall reign forever and ever over the house of Israel. Amen! Even so, come
Lord Jesus!
The eschatological position in theology, which denies a millennium either before or after the Second Advent of Jesus Christ – Messiah.
Unseen conflict in which Satan and fallen angels are warring against the God and His angels. This warfare began at the fall of Satan (Ezekiel 28:13-19) and continues throughout human history until God makes the enemies of Christ his “Footstool” (Psalms 110:1; 1 Corinthians 15:25; Hebrews 1:13; 10:12). It includes the two trials of Satan - one in prehistoric times and one during human history (Matthew 25:41 and Revelations 20:10); Also included are one third of the angels who choose to follow Satan (called fallen angels). We humans, in particular, believers were created to resolve the “protest” of Satan at his first trial somewhere in the prehistoric past.
The study of God’s first created beings “angels” both fallen and elect.
The study of man’s origin, history and destiny in relation to God.
Ascribing to God human feelings or characteristics that he does not possess, but used in scripture so we can understand infinite God by finite thinking. Terms such as “anger,” “grieve,” “hate” and “repent.”
The rejection of the socially established and accepted standards of morality for salvation from the wrath of God. Under the Gospel of Grace keeping the moral law has no merit for salvation because faith alone in the atonement of Christ’s finished sacrifice alone is the only means for appropriating salvation.
Hostility in thought or action by a person, group, organization or country, against the Jews.
The false doctrine that states that: “in the end all free moral creatures will be saved from God’s wrath because God is love and would
not damn his creation.” It states further that: “damnation cannot be the final manifestation of God’s love.” Unfortunately this cosmic
thinking prevalent in the secular world totally disregards Scripture and the reason is that this thinking is satanically sponsored. It is
heresy. Please note: God’s Justice guards His Righteousness. Both Righteousness and Justice are manifestations of God’s Perfect
Integrity. Love is a manifestation of God’s Integrity. Love does not rule out justice

Lack of interest or concern especially regarding Scripture. Showing no feeling or emotion with regard to the Cross; the Bible; or sin. In
the believer apathy occurs when sins go un-confessed. The result is carnality or carnal activities, i.e., worldliness which is the
production of the sin nature. When the believer is carnal (out of fellowship) the believer acts and thinks just like the unbeliever.
Continuous sin and prolonged indifference (apathy) causes scar tissue on the soul which is hardening of the heart. In extreme conditions
it leads to the sin unto death, when God can no longer use the believer because of maximum negative volition. Apathy is living in the
sphere of the darkness of indifference because the light of the Holy Spirit is quenched due to sin
(or sins) going unconfessed. The conviction of
guilt has no effect on a hardened heart.

One who has fallen away from the consistent, daily intake of God’s Word. The falling away from the faith by denying the Divine Inspiration (God-breathed) authority and absoluteness of the Bible. Apostasy has always been a characteristic of the Church because of the inadequate (sub-standard) teaching of the Word. When Pastor’s fail to follow the Pre-designed Plan of God, which is intense disciplined study under the teaching ministry of the Holy Spirit, the Congregation literally starves to spiritual death. (Revelations 3:15-18). The primary reasons for apostasy are fivefold: 1). Failure of Pastor/teachers to apply
I.C.E. principles (see “expository teaching”);
2) Ego/arrogance; 3). Laziness; 4). Failure of Seminaries to teach ICE
principles to pastoral students due to apostasy at the Seminary level. Today
many teachers and professors are not born-again believers, neither are many of
the clergy for that matter. 5). Satan has a way of creeping in, subtly, to attack the Plan of God at the University level, which dramatically effects our local Churches and the Body of Christ. But, Jesus Christ controls history! He has a perfect plan for His chosen people. No matter how apostate the Church becomes God always calls His gifted leaders to step-up in every generation.

Apologetics is defending the Christian Faith and the defense of the Divine Inspiration of Scripture. It is a systematic structure or
discourse, defending and/or debating the Divine origin and authority of the Bible and the Christian faith. Categorical studies are a form
of apologetics because they equip the believer to defend his faith and give reason for the hope that is in him. Metabolized Bible
Doctrine is essential for defending what we believe (Romans 1: 1-4, 16,17; 1 Corinthians 1:18-25; 2:5-16; 6:19, 20; 8:6; 15:3,4, 12-28 &
42-50; Philippians 1: 7,17, 20,21; 1 Thessalonians 1:5,6; 2:12,13; Titus 3:1-11; 1 Peter 3:15). Apologetics includes both positive
arguments for Absolute Truth and rebuttals of criticisms leveled against Absolute Truth.
To convey a standard of doctrine or a moral conclusion based on Scripture.
From the Greek word harmagedon referring to the final battle between the forces of God and the forces of Satan (Revelation 16:16.)
The transfer of our Lord’s true humanity from earth to the third heaven in his resurrection body. His session includes the Glorification of his humanity which is His seat at the right hand of the Father; his advocacy (1 John 2:1) on behalf of believers; the time from the ascension to the second coming of Messiah when his enemies will be made his footstool. See definition “Hypostatic Union” (Luke 24:30-53; Acts 1:9; Hebrews 12:1, 2; 1 John 2:1
To know that you are eternally saved from the wrath of God because God says you are, in Scripture. To lack assurance does not change your eternal position in Christ. The purpose of Bible Doctrine is to solidify your faith so that you can be assured (confident) in your Eternal Security in Christ (Romans 8:29-39; Colossians 2: 6-14; 3:1-4). See “The Doctrine of Eternal Security.” See also “The Immutability of God.”
Think on this: Eternal Life cannot die! It is God’s life imparted to every believer in Jesus Christ. This is Grace!!
Derived from the Greek atheos, meaning “godless.” This term is found only once is Scripture in Ephesians 2:12.
Christ died (atoned or paid) for our sins on the Cross, with the result that mankind has been reconciled to God. See the following
verses: Matthew 26:28; Luke 24-26; Acts 17:2 20:28; Romans 3:9-24-26; 4:25; 5:1-21; 1 Corinthians 1:17-24; 15:3; Galatians 1:3-4; 4:4-5;
Ephesians 1:7; 2:13-18; 5:2,25; Colossians 1:14, 19-22; 1 Thessalonians 5:9-10; 1 Timothy 2:5-6; Titus 2:14; Hebrews 1:3; 2:9, 17;
9:12-26; 10:1-20; 12:24; 13:12, 20-21; 1 Peter 1:18-20; 2:24; 3:18; 1 John 1:7; 1 John 2:2; 3:5; 4:10 5:6; Revelation 1:5; 5:9; 7:14;
12:11). See related terms “Alter,” “Propitiation,” “Reconciliation” and “Redemption”.
The Intrinsic Essence of God – His Divine Characteristics called His Attributes. See term:
"Deity of Christ."
Performed by the Holy Spirit at the instant each person believes in Christ. Salvation and Baptism of the Spirit are not two different functions they are one and the same. At Salvation the Holy Spirit permanently indwells every Church-Age believer. Church-age believers are identified with Christ in his death; burial and resurrection. Only the Church Age believer becomes a royal member of the family of God by means of this baptism at salvation. It is not a so-called “second blessing.” (See the following scripture references - Acts 1:5 Romans 6:3, 4; 1 Corinthians 12:13). Galatians 3:27; Ephesians 1:13, 14; 4:5; 1 Peter 2:5,9a; Revelations 1:6; 5:10).
SEALING OF THE SPIRIT/SIGNATURE GUARANTEE! This ministry of the Holy Spirit is a
sealing ministry of “eternal union” with Christ. Sealing means signature. We
have God’s “signature guarantee.” This is our eternal security – our eternal
union with God. Nothing can break this seal and God does not change his mind,
ever. God is Immutable. Proof of the absolute sealing of every Church-age
believer is the “Indwelling” of the Holy Spirit (2 Corinthians 1:22; Ephesians
1:13,14; 4:30). The Holy Spirit is our paraclete-helper. The Holy Spirit is our
power source for living the Christian Life.
Biblical “Truths” presented as categories, concepts and/or principles from God’s Word of Truth (Matthew 7:28; Mark 4:2; Romans 16:17; Titus 1:9; Revelation 2;14-15). See term “Doctrine.”
Refers to study that attempts to determine the truth of Scripture as originally written or intended. “Textual Criticism” on the other hand attempts to restore the original wording.
These two Doctrines are nearly the same: Inerrancy states that the Bible in the original autograph is entirely truth without error. Infallibility states that the Bible is “unfailing in its purpose.”
Referring to the analysis of Scripture as the foundation of all theological truth. An examination of alleged problems or contradictions.
Greek word blasphemia meaning “a curse.” Using the name of God in an irreverent or slanderous way. Taking the name of the Lord in vain breaks the fourth commandment and will be punished (Exodus 20:7). Blasphemy in the Old Testament was punished by stoning.

Refers to the spiritual death of Christ on the Cross. The blood of Christ is figurative of his spiritual death – His sacrifice for sin.
Our Lord did not bleed to death, nor did man "kill God." His “blood” refers to His “Spiritual death-payment.” When the penalty of sin was completely paid Christ said,
“It is finished.” (Please notice: He was alive when He said this.) And when He said, “It is finished,” He was referring to our salvation. So, physical blood and death was not the payment for sin. He died spiritually, immediately, when all sin was poured out on
Him on the cross during the three hours of darkness. He died physically when He dismissed His spirit, (not by bleeding to death), after salvation was finished. Then, because salvation was paid, there was no reason left for
Him to remain on the Cross in suffering and shame, so He dismissed His spirit (John 19: 28&30).

The body of Christ consists of all church-age believers in relationship to Christ. The Body of Christ is also called the “Church.” The true Church is the Body of Christ which consists of all believers in the Church-Age. Also called the “Bride of Christ.”
The Book of Life contains the names of every person who has ever lived in time. If they were not believers their name is removed at physical death. Only believers remain in the Book of Life. Because each believer is in the Royal Family of God, he/she has a Title of Royalty also recorded in the Book of Life (Philippians 4:3; Revelations 3:5; 13:8; 17:8; 20:12, 15, 21:7).
Refers in Christianity to a person who is “twice born.” Born once of human parents and once and for all of the Holy Spirit, called “Spiritual Birth” - the birth apart from death, or the birth that never again dies.
Refers to the divinely inspired and officially recognized books of the Bible.
The state of the believer who has sinned and not confessed the sins to God. Carnality is discussed and defined by the Apostle Paul in Romans 7:14-25. When we sin we fall under the control of the flesh (sin-nature), so we are carnal – “out of fellowship.” God’s answer to the believer’s sin problem is found in: (Galatians 5:16-18; Ephesians 5:18; 1 John 1:9).
Addiction to a certain sin(s) - habitual sin. We all have areas of weakness and areas of strength. Our sin weaknesses vary with each individual. Our problems compound when we continuously give in to sin. Every believer struggles with their sin-weaknesses. The intake of Bible Doctrine on a daily basis under the filling of the Holy Spirit is our “power source” for overcoming chain sinning and all sin. We will struggle with sin (disobedience) until we leave this body of corruption.

Christian activism can involve the political or social arena of reform; snooping into the business of others; invading the privacy of others; self-righteousness and legalism, to name a few. Usually involves Christians imposing God on others, or their standards on others. The world is full of bullies who impose or enforce their beliefs on others. Activism results in arrogance when power lust patterns dominate the soul. Many activists are well meaning and can even do good things. We must remain active for the cause of Christ and the Gospel. Pastors especially should not be involved in activism because their purpose is to study and teach - edifying the body of Christ. Pastors are not called to demonstrate or pursue political ambitions. Jesus Christ controls history and God’s Pre-designed Plan is steadfast and sure (Acts 2:23).
The appearance of Christ in bodily form before His Incarnation.
The body of Christ made up of Church age believers (also called Ecclesiology). The Church is not a building it is a body of believers in Christ saved during the Church-age only (1 Corinthians 12:13, 14-27).
The Church-age began at Pentecost (Acts 2:1-47) and ends with the revelation that the Church has been translated (1 Thessalonians 4:13-18), called the “Rapture.” Immediately after Rapture of believers the Tribulation (Matthew chapter 24: 4-14), will begin and last seven years. The Rapture is distinguished in Scripture from the Second Coming of Christ which culminates the Tribulation period (Matthew 24: 29-31).
There has always been a client nation throughout history which has had the honor of custodianship of God’s Word and in particular presenting the Gospel to a lost and condemned humanity. Humanity meaning - Adamic Race – Human Race. The United States has been God’s client nation for over two hundred years. Prior to that, down through the centuries, God has used different countries as a shelter and refuge for Jews and the dissemination of the Gospel. Remember the Gospel exists where Freedom exists and Freedom exists where the Gospel exists.
The function of the Holy Spirit whereby he makes the Gospel understandable to the unbeliever. The Holy Spirit literally “turns on the light” of the Glorious Gospel of Christ (2 Corinthians 4:3-6) to any unbeliever who goes on positive signals toward the Gospel.
A Philosophical argument for proof of the existence of God as the cause of the universe or the first cause of anything. Cosmology is a branch of metaphysics that deals with the origin and nature of the universe as orderly.
Satan’s world system. The secular world headed up by Satan.
A lust pattern of the soul whereby a person strongly desires, with envy, something that belongs to someone else (Luke 12:15; Romans 1:29; 1 Timothy 6:10; 2 Peter 2:14).

The most extreme, cruel and degrading punishment ever conceived from the depths of the sinful depravity of man. Before being impaled, the victim was stripped naked and scourged wit a flagellum. This is a whip with splinters of rock and bone chips attached to leather thongs. The whip is then whirled against the flesh of the victim tearing the skin and muscle down to the bone. Christ received forty lashes, enough to kill most people, which proves that in His Humanity, Christ was no push-over. Even if the victims died during this horrible torturous beating his body would be nailed to the cross for public exhibition and shame. If the victim was unfortunate enough to live through scourging he then had to carry the cross member to the place of crucifixion where the cross member was attached to the upright and the victim was then nailed to the cross. The body was supported by a peg projecting outward from the upright beam just high enough so that the victim could push his body upward. When he became too exhausted to push up he would suffocate from the weight of the body. Sometimes death was hastened by breaking the legs. But not in the case of Christ (not a bone of him was broken (John 19:36)). This is what Christ went through for you and me. The payment to keep mankind from God’s wrath was poured out on Christ on the Cross. The Lake of Fire is a literal place for unsaved mankind – it is as real as the suffering Christ.

Jesus Christ is God. Period. He is co-equal and co-eternal with the Father and the Holy Spirit (John 1:1-14; 14:8, 9; Colossians 1:15-19; Hebrews 1:1-14; 1 John1:1, 2). He is a member of the Trinity (Colossians 2:9). He has always had the same Essence as the Father and the Holy Spirit. Jesus Christ has always been the revealed or visible person of the Godhead in the Old and New Testament. He is the “Shekinah Glory” throughout Scripture. During the incarnation he became true humanity while totally retaining his deity. He was and is true God and true humanity in one person forever. He is truly the unique person in the universe (Matthew 28:19; Acts 2:38; 5:4, 5; 2 Corinthians 13:14. See “The Doctrine of the Hypostatic Union” and “The Trinity.” For the Deity of God and the Holy Spirit see the “The Trinity” scriptures; the “Doctrine of Pneumatology” and the “Essence of God.”

Demon influence is false thinking based on human viewpoint and world philosophies (the Cosmic Systems of Satan). Satan is “Prince of this world” (John 12:31; 14:30; 16:11; Ephesians 2:2. Demons are followers of Satan and have tremendous influence over mankind. Demon influence is characterized by infiltrating the thinking of believers and unbelievers. Satanic thinking – (demon influence) is thinking which is contrary to Divine Viewpoint.
Invasion of the body of the unbeliever only. Generally this occurs through Satanic worship, the occult religions, drug addiction, etc.
Refers to unregenerate mankind because he has only a body and soul – two components. The regenerate believer on the other hand has a spirit added to the body and soul making him “Trichotomous.”
Dispensations are the Divine Revelations of God in various periods of human history. They involve God’s dealings with man and his Divine plan for human history. Dispensations are referred to in Scripture as “Age” or “ages” (Matthew 10:30; Mark 10:30; Luke 1:70; 18:30; Acts 16:31; Hebrews 2:5). The word “dispensation” is used to describe various periods of revelation and time by the Apostle Paul
in 1 Corinthians 9:17; Ephesians 1:10; 3:2; Colossians 1:25).

God’s eternal purpose toward His creation – past, present and future. His plan from
eternity to eternity based on his omniscience. God’ plan is always to benefit his creation. Election is the manifestation of the sovereign will of God in a point in eternity past before He created the universe or mankind. God’s plan does not depend on man, man must depend on God. “Elect” is a Biblical term applied to believers (Matthew 24:22; Mark 13:22; Luke 18:7; Romans 8:33). Divine Decree refers to election, foreknowledge and predestination. God by His Decree in eternity past established reality – He alone accurately describes reality. God elected Israel. God elected Christ. God elected the believer. Divine decrees determine all that ever was or will be.
Discipline of God is for the believers benefit. Discipline comes from the Justice of God and is a manifestation of his divine love and mercy.
The characteristics of God – His Attributes – His Divine Integrity- who and what God Is.
God has designed and ordained certain laws for the freedom, protection and perpetuation of human race beginning with the creation and fall of man.
Principles ordained by God under the Divine Laws of establishment for the perpetuation of the human race – viz., 1). Volition- free will - basis of freedom; 2).Marriage – stabilizer of the human race; 3). Family – basis for an orderly society; 4). Nationalism – basis for protection of rights, privacy and freedom.
Divine viewpoint is the Word of God – the Mind of Christ (1 Corinthians 2:16). It is God’s perfect thinking written in Scripture so we can know him – his viewpoint. God’s Pre-designed Plan for believers. At salvation God the Holy Spirit begins the transformation of the believers thinking to conform to God’s viewpoint. Divine viewpoint is always contrary to human viewpoint.
Categories of Systematic Biblical Concepts related to the
Pre-designed Plan of God. See
also “Bible Doctrine” this study.
A state of peace and spiritual blessing when the believer is called home to be with the Lord, regardless of the amount of suffering. The peaceful awareness of God in death.
Ecumenicalism seeks to unite all faiths into a brotherhood of humanity with the same doctrine. This erroneous concept would remove freedom in the presentation of the Gospel and would mandate belief and interpretation of Scripture. Ecumenicalism is Satanic in origin and anti-Christ, anti-faith. It is a repeat of historical blunders in which man imposes himself on man - which is tyranny. Ecumenicalism seeks to regulate (legislate faith and doctrine). The World Council of Churches formed in 1948. WOTM stands against the ecumenical movement which will put a strangle hold on believers and unbelievers alike – all mankind. You cannot regulate or legislate faith nor its object – Christ. It is our differences that keep us free and the Gospel free.

Edification means the “building up” as in the erection of a structure - to build a building in our soul. The foundation of this structure is the Word of God and the Cornerstone is Jesus Christ (Ephesians 2:20-22). Christ is the “Rock of our Salvation (Romans 9:33). The soul structure is erected by the teaching ministry of the Holy Spirit through the Pastor/teacher. The Pastor and the believer must be “in fellowship” (sins confessed). Doctrine must be perceived, metabolized and applied to life.

Produced by God and revealed by the Holy Spirit through Jesus Christ. Efficacious means producing a desired effect. Grace means everything that God does for mankind based on the Cross-work of His Son. Therefore, efficacious grace means God produces the exact effect of His Plan while we are yet in sins. The Holy Spirit makes the faith of spiritually dead unbelievers effective for salvation. The unbeliever is totally helpless until God opens the eye of faith. This is Grace. See also “Divine Decrees/Election.”
The “im” is plural in Hebrew. "El" is always used in the singular when referring to the “Essence” of God. .

The distinction between belief and knowledge. A study of, or a theory of the nature and grounds of knowledge especially its limits and validity. For study purposes here, the substantiation of Doctrinal claims and concepts. The Biblical balance between faith and knowledge which is critical to truth and justification. WOTM does not claim immunity from criticism nor assume automatic acceptance by its hearers. We offer good reasons for the hope that is in us. Christianity can be supported by Scripture based on sound reason, and prophecy proved by history, or/and believed by faith, without proof. However, prophecy fulfilled is proof of God. Scientific knowledge is based on empiricism and theory. Theory is the act of faith without proof – a conclusion without proof. Empiricism is the view that the source of all knowledge is sense-experience or reason. However, reason does not offer absolute knowledge in any realm. Belief (faith in conclusions) therefore, is the best that any area of study and life can offer aside from absolute proof. Therefore, Christian presuppositions are no worse, but are better off than any other type presuppositions because the soul of man is at stake for eternity. We submit that the burden of faith (not proof) has the most merit even though it is the only non-meritorious concept. Without faith no area of knowledge can move forward.

The doctrine of last things. Involving such things as future events or prophecy such as: The kingdom and coming again of Christ; Immortality and Eternal life; Judgment – Heaven and Hell; Christ in us – the hope of eternal life. Eschatology concerns the vindication of God’s purposes as proclaimed in Scripture.
The imputation of God’s own eternal life to the believer at salvation so we can live with God forever as eternal beings.
At the point of faith in Christ, God imputes Eternal Life and His own Righteousness to every believer and declares him righteous or justified (Romans 3:21-28). Eternal life is eternal security. Eternal security rests in God’s Absolute Integrity. God accepted the Cross work of Christ as full and unconditional payment for sin and therefore he declares the believer righteous because of Christ. (See also 1 John 5: 9-13.)
Relating to the regions beyond earth in the heavens. Lacking material substance.
The history of linguistic form (as a word) tracing its development through time and languages – its root.
Satan’s system of ruler-ship over this cosmic world. Human good is evil because Satan uses it to blind humanity to the Gospel. Human good is produced from the flesh which is corrupt. Sin is in the flesh. See the term “Religion.”
A word by word, verse by verse study of the grammar, syntax and etymology of the original languages of the Bible. Etymology is the study of the history of a language. Isagogics is the historical setting when the Scripture was written. It is every Pastor's God-given responsibility to properly exegete the passages of scripture and to TEACH (not preach) the truths from the Word of God..."rightly dividing the Word of Truth."
(See "Expository Teaching" below.)
The finished work of Christ on the Cross. The payment in full for all sin for all time.
To study, interpret and present Scripture in understandable terms by the application of “ICE” principles.
Isagogics – Historical setting
Categories – Using Scripture to interpret Scripture; pursuing a
particular Doctrine or theme through the Scriptures to come to a conclusion
Exegesis – strict attention to grammar, syntax, and etymology. The history usage and development of a word(s).
It should be noted that only a handful of Pastor/teachers are applying ICE principles to the study and teaching of God’s Word. This is the main reason for Apostasy and denominationalism in Christianity, and why Pastors are failing their congregations.
EDITOR’S NOTE: The exponential growth and increasing popularity of New Age and other world religions is greatly attributable to the failure of Pastors and of Christianity as a whole to properly TEACH the Word of God. People are being fed mush on Sundays, instead of being taught, rightly, from the original languages of the Bible as described here. This is part of the Enemy’s plan to destroy the church and to discredit Christianity in the eyes of the world. His plan is working quite well.
The power source of God for believers, the Holy Spirit uses Bible Doctrine metabolized in the soul to convict, motivate and direct our thoughts and actions. But we must stay in fellowship by consistently naming sins utilizing I John 1:9. The battleground of the believer is in his soul. This warfare is constant for control of the soul. The believer’s worst enemy is self. Therefore, the filling of the Holy Spirit is the only way to victory in the Christian life.
EDITOR'S NOTE: The filling of the Holy Spirit comes ONLY through
confession of sin. The Holy Spirit's INDWELLING never ceases, but His fellowship
with us does when we sin, hence the grace-provision of I John 1:9. The filling
of the Spirit never has anything to do with ecstatics or emotionalism and is
completely separate from any use of tongues, prophecy, healing, etc.
The Holy Spirit is NOT a dripping blob of emotion, nor does he provide emotional
ecstatics for "edification."
At the split-second when a person trusts in the finished work of Christ on the cross, God gives the newborn believer forty fantastic grace gifts. They are not earned because they are given immediately at the moment of salvation. (See "Forty Grace Gifts" in the Tree of Knowledge link.)
When the believer is in fellowship with God he is “filled with the Spirit” which means controlled by the Spirit. When the believer is filled with the spirit,
the Holy Spirit produces the “fruit of the spirit.” This fruit is expressed in Galatians 5:22-23.
Bible Doctrine learned, but not believed. Therefore it was not transferred to the Spirit as Truth. When Bible Doctrine is perceived it is received in the left lobe of the mentality of the soul. When it is believed it is transferred to the human spirit (right lobe) where it becomes epignosis. There, it becomes
metabolized wisdom ready for application and execution in the PPG.
See the term “Metabolized Doctrine.”
When any person, anywhere becomes conscious that God exists.
Occupation with Christ in the filling of the Spirit. Demonstrated by the fruit of the spirit - brings Glory to God. The fruit of the Spirit is produced by the Holy Spirit working in us and through us to a lost and dying world. The Holy Spirit produces Godliness in us. Godliness is not something man can ever achieve. Fallen man cannot perform Godliness nor can he be like God. Man freely receives God’s Righteousness when he accepts Christ as personal Savior. God, at the point of salvation, “imputes” His Righteousness to the born-again believer. Only God can manifest Godliness in us, through us. See term “Imputation.”
Gospel literally means “Good News” for lost humanity. Jesus Christ died and Rose from the dead for you the unbeliever so you could be forgiven past sin. That is fantastic news. Used also for Angels as messengers of good news to mankind. (John 3:15-18, 36; Acts 16:31; Ephesians 1:13.)
The title for God’s PPG (Pre-designed Plan of Grace/God). Grace means all that God is free to do for mankind because of the Cross-work of Christ. The manifestation of God’s Love and Mercy whereby God gave God to save man from God’s own wrath.
To be oriented to the Plan of God by inhaling the Mind of Christ and exhaling to a lost and dying world. See “Godliness” and “Occupation with Christ.”
The final judgment of unbelievers only. Unbelievers are not judged for their sins, but for not believing in Christ. Their “works” or “deeds” do not meet God’s Perfect Standard and is therefore rejected under eternal condemnation (John 3:36; Revelation 20:11-15).
Both “Sheol,” and “Hades” refer to anything that is subterranean and large. This is the place of the departed dead of the human race and certain fallen angels who kept not their first estate (2 peter 2:4). Both Hades and Sheol are mistranslated “Hell” which adds to the confusion. Hades has been used to describe the underworld – the realm of the dead which is a very real place. My guess would be the vast subterranean expanse under Iraq and Iran. Sheol is sometimes used in Scripture for the grave (Genesis 37:35; 42:38; Job 7:9; Psalms 49:15; Proverbs 15:11; Isaiah 38:10).
The study of the Doctrine of Sin. To truly appreciate the price that Christ paid for your salvation, you need to study sin.
Throughout most of Scripture the nouns for heart usually refer to the right lobe of the soul. The right lobe is the dominant lobe of the mentality of the soul. The Greek word is kardia (heart). The right lobe consists of: frame of reference – (memory center); conscience – (norms and standards). The left lobe is NOUS (mind) in the Greek, which is the perceptive lobe.
Rejection of the Gospel; rejection of the one true God; the apostasy of the unbeliever. See the entire chapter of 2 Peter 2. God is omniscient and is totally aware when any unbeliever becomes God Conscious, no matter how deep the jungle or how far removed from civilization.
We are all heirs of God because of Christ. We are joint heirs with Christ. We are heirs because we become children of God at Salvation. Heirship is
“Sonship” (John 1:12; Romans 8:16,17; Hebrew 9:15; Titus 3:7).
The objective of hermeneutics is discovering, discerning and defining Scripture in an attempt to reveal and preserve the original intent. In so doing, our perception of meaning and interpretation of the original autograph is transferred and maintained with greater accuracy.
Confident assurance in God’s promises – such as eternal life and the cross work of Christ on our behalf (as our substitute). Hope is satisfied and made comfortable by Metabolized Doctrine and its application in life. Hope is intimacy with God the Holy Spirit which can best be described as assurance and peace. (Quiet assurance is the benefit of hope. Without hope there is none! Without Christ there is no hope - C. S. Craig).
Produced by both believers and unbelievers and rejected by God in both cases. Human good is evil because it is an attempt by unbelievers to replace the Cross of Christ which is a form of blasphemy against the Holy Spirit. Human good is produced by believers who are “out of fellowship.” It is human activity which counterfeits the filling of the Holy Spirit. It is man doing the work receiving the credit instead of God. It is counterfeit to God’s Plan of Salvation and His (PPG) for the Christian way of life. See the term
PPG.

Human Nature, Sin Nature, Genetic Nature, Adamic Nature, are synonymous terms. Sin is an integral part of every human being and it resides in the cell structure of the human body (Romans 6:6; 7:15, 18). The sin nature was acquired originally by Adam at his fall and is subsequently passed down genetically to all mankind through copulation. While both male and female are carriers, the sin nature is transmitted through the male. The result is both spiritual death and total depravity of all humanity, except Jesus Christ. Christ had no human father therefore, no human nature (virgin birth). OSN is the source of human sin, human good and evil.
Received at Salvation, the human spirit is necessary to worship God (Philippians 3:3). It is the immaterial part of the believer, designed by God to receive, convert, store and utilize Bible Doctrine. The Holy Spirit converts Bible Doctrine into usable knowledge (gnosis).
Humility is the antithesis of arrogance. Without humility you cannot be saved. You cannot receive God’s Truths. Humility is the key to the Christian life. Christ became our Servant and Savior by humbling himself, enduring the agony, shame and suffering of the Cross (Matthew 16:21; 17:12; 18:4; 20:17-19; 23:12; Luke 14:11; 18:14; Philippians 2:8). God gives Grace to the humble (James 4:6; 1 Peter 5:5-6).
Hypostatic is from the Greek en, “in,” and hypostasis “substance.” The incarnate Christ has two natures (undiminished deity and true humanity), inseparably united without loss of separate identity in one person forever. He is the unique person in the Universe – the God man. Christ met the judicial requirement of “mediator.” See “Mediator” this study.
Isagogics is the historical setting at the time of the writing of the Books of Scripture.
Categories are the concepts and/or organized subject content of the Word of God.
Exegesis means a critical interpretation of Scripture
The worship of anything or anyone besides God. Giving anything a higher priority in one’s life – putting God second to self is a form of idolatry. See Exodus 20:2-5; 22:20; Deuteronomy 4:15-19; 5:7-9).
The immaterial, invisible essence of mankind – his soul. The very pattern God used when He created mankind was Himself. Our essence includes volition, emotion, self-consciousness, conscience and mentality. See definition for “Soul Life.”
The direct creative act of God apart from intermediate agents or means. Adam was created immediately by God as is the soul of every human being. See terms “Mediate Creation” and “Soul Life.”
Could occur at any moment. The Rapture is considered to be imminent.
An attribute of God which describes His inability to change – only God is consistent. In His absoluteness He cannot change because He is complete within Himself (Exodus 3:14; Malachi 3:6).
The Doctrine that Christ did not sin during the incarnation. He remained free from all three categories of sin in the human race: the inherent sin nature which is a result as we are, but without sin (2 Corinthians 5:21; Hebrews 4:15). The impeccability of Christ relates to the Hypostatic Union. See term “Hypostatic Union.”
Virtue love emphasizes the character of the subject rather than the object as in Romans 5:8. God’s love is a manifestation of His divine character – it is who and what God is in His very being.
Prayer for justice because of antagonism, hostility, persecution or terrorism directed toward those involved.
There are various types of Imputation from God. The imputation of sin imputed to all men; the imputation of Righteousness imputed to all believers at Salvation and so on. Imputation therefore can be an action of God involving condemnation or blessing. Imputation is the action of God’s Justice.
Refers to the time Jesus Christ lived on earth in hypostatic union.
At salvation the Holy Spirit permanently takes up residency in the Church–age believer. The believer’s body is transformed into God’s temple for the simultaneous indwelling of Jesus Christ. See term “Shekinah Glory.”
The lust to exalt oneself above others without regard for them or God. Self-promotion even if harm to others is necessary. This is a manifestation of the infestation of arrogance in man’s nature. Inordinate desire originated with Lucifer who became Satan at his fall in eternity past (Ezekiel 28:12-15). Inordinate desire becomes narcissistic enamored with self-importance. Sparks of arrogance ignite the flames of power lust and greed and all that is anti-God, anti-Christ and anti-Bible and anti-Christian. Inordinate desire results in the attempted overthrow of authority especially God’s. It is mutiny against God and man. It becomes hate and terror and evil.

Inspiration means God-breathed. God-breathed means the Holy Spirit supernaturally directed the human writers of Scripture so that without wavering their individual intelligence, literary style, personal feelings, or any other human factor, they wrote God’s complete and coherent message to humanity with perfect accuracy in the original languages of Scripture, the very words bearing the absolute authority of Divine authorship. God literally breathed (exhaled) His Word into the writers who inhaled and wrote the infallible Word of God.
God integrity is based on His Righteousness and His Justice. God’s Integrity is defined by His Attributes which form His Holiness. God’s Righteousness is the principle of his integrity while His Justice is the function of His Integrity. Divine Integrity is, therefore, infinite, perfect, eternal, unchangeable and incomprehensible apart from God revealing Himself to humanity through Bible Doctrine and Creation.
This is God’s judgment or evaluation of believers and is based on the execution of God’s Pre-designed Plan for the believer, or the failure to execute. The purpose is to cleanse by fire all human good and separate human good from divine Good during the life of every believer. It is based on reward or loss of reward for all eternity. Rewards not received as God planned become a memorial to His Plan.
An attribute of God that describes God’s infinite and perfect fairness whether in judgment or blessing.
A judicial act of vindication whereby God recognizes we have his perfect righteousness because of Christ. God’s Righteousness is imputed forever to every believer at the instant of faith in Christ.
During his incarnation Christ voluntarily restricted the use of His Divine Attributes, which include omnipotence. Our wonderful Lord and Savior volunteered to become true humanity (but, without a sin nature) in order to redeem us from sin and condemnation. His sacrificial death in our place propitiated God the Father and reconciled us to God.
The lake of fire was originally created for Satan and fallen angels, but is also the destination of all unbelievers (Matthews 25:41). It is both literal and eternal.
Lapsarianism means “lapse” and refers to man’s fallen condition and the five decrees of God in eternity past, before He created anything. The five decrees are related to “election” and are often referred to as “elective decrees.” The logical sequence is but one thought in the mind of God as follows: 1). Creation of angels and mankind. 2). Permit the fall of angels and mankind. 3). Provide salvation for angels and mankind. 4). Election of angels and believers; condemnation to fallen angels and fallen humanity. 5). Salvation for angels and believers based on “volition.”
Striving to gain the approbation of God, for salvation, by human good works. Promotes self-righteousness and
hypocrisy while counterfeiting the PPG and the Grace of God.
God’s supreme PPG of support, provision, suffering, blessing and judgment (discipline) for the believer during their lifetime.
A divine intrinsic attribute of the God. God elected to share His love through creation and His Son at Calvary.
The indirect creative act of God through intermediate agents or means. All biological life since the original creation of Adam has been formed mediately through human procreation.
A mediator reconciles the differences between two parties and must be equal in stature to both. (Jesus Christ was God and true humanity – “Hypostatic Union”). God chose Christ’s work (propitiation) and Believers accept Christ’s work (salvation). By so doing reconciliation is made and a contract is signed. At salvation this is the “Seal or signature agreement of the Holy Spirit.” Christ is the only Mediator between God and man (1 Timothy 2:5, 6}. See “Hypostatic Union” this study.
Your attitude reflects your thinking. Your thinking determines your actions. What you think is who you are. Bible Doctrine changes your attitude toward God and the world. Bible Doctrine transforms your thinking so that instead of being oriented to Satan’s cosmic system (the secular world) you become oriented by the thinking of Christ (1 Corinthians 3:16). Arrogance is an attitude antagonistic to God. Humility is the attitude necessary to learn and think in alignment with God.
Make a nice memory today.
Literally means “the Anointed One.” In Hebrew “masiah” is parallel to “Christos” in the Greek. Both mean anointed one. Jesus Christ as Messiah is the Prophet, Priest and King of Israel. Always has been always will be - believe it or not.

Biblical Truth received in the left lobe as knowledge. By faith, knowledge understood and believed (faith)-(digested mentally) is then transferred to the right lobe where it becomes epignosis. Epignosis is doctrine ready for application in life. SPIRITUAL METABOLISM is the Holy Spirit causing Biblical Principles to be understood, believed and transferred to the right lobe and applied to life. It is Bible Doctrine, spiritual faith, understanding and application accomplished by the Holy Spirit in the believer. It is the mechanics for unmerited eternal rewards. The believer needs only to be positive to and learning Bible doctrine in the filling of the Holy Spirit as he daily functions in the PPG. The unbeliever operates in the sphere of gnosis. He has received Biblical information but has rejected these truths. Likewise the believer can also reject a particular doctrine by disbelief. Gnosis is life in the realm of disbelief while epignosis is the “Super abundant life” (not necessarily prosperity, but joy and peace and fulfillment- fruits of the Spirit) of the believer advancing to maturity. Bible knowledge not acted upon by faith is gnosis. By active faith it becomes epignosis. Epignosis is the availability of Bible doctrine for application in the
PPG experience.

Describes our Lord’s “transformation” on the Mount of Transfiguration (Matthew 17:2). Transformation here means a striking change in appearance or structure.
A period of a thousand years when Christ will reign on earth. This period of time begins at His second advent and ends human history as we know it (Revelation 20:4).
Conformity to God’s laws of establishment. Morality is based on God’s Absolute Truths. The doctrine of duties and responsibilities toward Divine principles. Morality pertains to character, conduct, ethics, and motivation. Our Integrity is determined by how we keep these Divine principles.
One of the names of our Savior and Lord – Jesus Christ (Revelations 22:16). Also one of the rewards of blessing for the believer who keeps on keeping on, and advances to spiritual maturity like the Apostle Paul who fought a good fight (2 Timothy 4:7,8; Revelation 2:26-28).
The laws God gave Moses which consist of three compartments or “Codices.”
Codex I: Freedom Code; Decalogue or Ten Commandments. The first four Commandments deal with man’s relationship to God; the remaining six deal with man’s relationship to man.
Codex II: Spiritual Code – a complete shadow presentation of the Savior – Jesus Christ and His saving work.
Codex III: Establishment Code – the civil (judicial) statutes for the Nation, Israel. Codices I and II were designed to protect and preserve human life, freedom, privacy and property. Under Codex II each individual was responsible for learning and sharing the Good News of the promised Savior and the dissemination of God’s Word.
The current Church Age (a period of time from Pentecost of the Second Coming) which was not revealed in the Old Testament, but is now clearly delineated in the New testament. See Ephesians 3:1-11; Colossians 1:24-29).
The attempt to allegedly contact the dead, or spirits of the dead for information. This is evil.
“Mataiotes” is a Greek word translated “vanity” in Ephesians 4:17. This is a vacuum created in the soul by negative volition against God or Bible Doctrine. Negative volition is also rejecting the authority of the Bible as God’s Word; rejecting Christ and His Cross for Salvation; rejecting the authority of the local church and/or your right pastor. The believer can refuse to confess personal sin or refuse to believe a point of doctrine. Negative Volition is rebellion against the PPG. Negative Volition can have dramatic negative effects and prevent the believer from advancing to spiritual maturity. It causes the believer to lose blessing in time and rewards in eternity. The believer can even self-destruct if he remains on negative signals over a long period of time. Negative volition closes the door to God.
Hebrew word for "breath of life" (soul life) from God which imparts the human soul to the mediately formed body at physical birth (Genesis 2:7).
God is creating a “new species” (creation) under Christ. The first creation is the human race under Adam which is under condemnation (John 3: 15-18; 3:36; Romans Chapter 5; 7: 15-25 8:1, 16, 28-32; 1 Corinthians 1:26-31; 2:14; 3:1,4; Galatians 6:1; Ephesians 2:1 -10; 4:18-24; Colossians 3:8-14). See “Regeneration” this study.

Learning Bible Doctrine on a daily basis, in the filling of the spirit, advancing to maturity in Christ. This daily intake creates in us a very personal love for our Savior and for (BD) Bible Doctrine. Doctrine (the Mind of Christ) gives us a personal sense of destiny in time and eternity. Occupation with Christ (Doctrine) orients us to a much deeper understanding of God’s Immutable Character, Grace, Love, and Justice. Compare and mediate on the following Scripture and the entire Word of God every chance you get: Deuteronomy 6:5; John 15:11; Roman 12:2; Ephesians 3:19; 5:18; Philippians 1:21; Hebrews 4:1, 10-11; James 2:8; 4:6; 1 Peter 1:8; 1 John 1:9. Your love for Christ is determined by the amount of metabolized Doctrine in your soul, not by emotional ecstatics. The better you understand your own depravity the more you will appreciate Jesus Christ. Let Him occupy and dominate your soul – by the inculcation of The Mind of Christ. This is called in theological terms “Christocentric.”

Omni means “all” and potent means “power.” Omnipotence is a Latin term and refers to God’s Power. God is “all” capable – there is nothing He cannot do. It is the attribute of total ability without limitation. God is all-powerful. Omnipotence is a Theological term used to describe the Infinite and Eternal power of the Trinity.
God’s is everywhere present at the same time all the time eternally.
There is no place where God does not exist and nothing exists apart from God.
There is no hiding place from God.
All knowledge of all things even foreknowledge. Eternal limitless knowledge. All knowledge comes from God. There is no knowledge apart from God.
This is an unconditional pact that God made with Abram and then with Israel. It guarantees a certain portion of land in the Middle East to Israel. This Covenant will be fulfilled at the Second Advent of Christ.
A scenario used to illustrate a Divine Principle.
Philosophy is the everlasting path thoughts that knowledge pursues in the defining search of wisdom, truth and meaning.
Pronounced, "Play row oh," meaning to be full or to fill a deficiency. At Salvation we are devoid of Doctrine. We need to be filled with God’s Word. The believer must be “full” (filled with the Holy Spirit). When the believer is full of the spirit he is fully influenced by the Holy Spirit and Bible Doctrine. Bible Doctrine and the Holy Spirit are the highest influence our soul can fill-up with, now and in eternity.
Is our eternal position “In Christ” (In Union with Christ). We are set apart as a “New Species”; “A New Creation” - In Christ. (See these Terms in this study). Our Positional Truth was provided by the Cross work of Christ. The “Church Age” believer is superior in position to Satan and fallen angels (Hebrews 1:4; 13-14; 2:9-11).
Pre-designed Plan of God/Grace (Galatians 5:16; Ephesians 3:18). Pre-designed means God’s Provision for every believer preordained in eternity past. PPG is God’s plan for every believer and He provides everything the believer needs to fulfill His plan. God’s policy toward mankind comes through the Cross and centers in our Hypostatic Savior. See “Hypostatic Union” defined in this study.
Means God is propitiated (perfectly satisfied) by Christ’s sacrifice in our place on the Cross.
Pseudo means false or counterfeit and refers to man’s system of rules and rituals and/or Satan’s system called religion. Religion is defined as Satan’s ace trump whereby man believes that man’s way to God is being good earning his own salvation by his own merit – his own good deeds. All religions require man to work or earn salvation. Only in Christianity will you find a God that does all the work for Salvation and all the work
PPG for living the Christian life.
The word rapture is not found in Scripture, but it means to be transported or carried out of ones self. Rapture refers to the resurrection of the “Church,” (Royal Family of God) at the end of the “Church Age.”
The mechanics of God’s PPG: Confessing (naming) our sins to God (1 John 1:9)
regenerates (washes) the believer which results in restoration to fellowship with God. Restoration means we have
recovered the filling of the Holy Spirit simply by naming known sins
with the result that we have reentered the PPG. Now, God can continue to “renew our minds.” When we name our sins to God, we are citing sins that went to court at the Cross and were poured out on Christ. All sins (past, present and future) were nailed to the Cross of Christ 2000 years ago. After salvation the believer must utilize confession of sin for forgiveness of sin.

The Doctrine of Reconciliation is stated as such in 2 Corinthians 5:18; Ephesians 2:16; Colossians 1:20-21. It means we have “peace” with God through our Savior Jesus Christ.
“Peace” and “Reconciliation” are synonymous terms in Ephesians 2:14, 15, 17; 4:3; 6:15. The actual work of reconciliation was completed on the Cross. We become reconciled the split second we believe in Christ. See “Mediator” this study.
Christ is the ultimate Redeemer. He gave His life as a “ransom for many” (Mark 10:45). Believers have redemption through His blood (spiritual death) see Ephesians 1:7.
The saving work of Christ on the Cross whereby He purchased (paid for) our freedom from the slave market of sin, by His Blood (spiritual death) sacrifice (Roman 3:24; Ephesians 1:7; Colossians 1:14).
The literal meaning of regeneration is “being born again” (John 3:3, 5, 7). There is a first birth “of the flesh” and a second birth “of the spirit” (John 3:1-12). The spiritual birth occurs when a person by faith accepts the “finished” work of Christ on the Cross for their personal salvation (John 3:16; 19:30).
Man’s own righteousness compared to man. When compared to God through Scripture man should recognize his total depravity. God is “+R” or “Perfect Righteousness”; man is “-R” or “negative righteousness.”
A system of rituals without reality, religion is man working his way to God or heaven based on his own work rejecting the work of Christ on the Cross. Christianity is the only faith where the object of faith God in Christ does all the work of salvation. All other religions known to man are man-made. Religion is man competing for the approbation of God.
Means release from sin (Acts 2:38; Hebrews 9:22). The active nature of the word for remission in the Greek indicates that forgiveness is more than a passive act on God’s part. God took the initiative to break the grip of sin and set people free from the slavery of our sin nature by the Cross of His Son and by the indwelling and filling of the Holy Spirit after salvation.
Acknowledging (agreeing with God) sin, disobedience and rebellion. A turning back to God Matthew 9:13; Luke 5:32). Repentance means a change of mind (Genesis 6:6-7). A feeling of remorse (regret); conviction, guilt, shame for past conduct (Matthew 27:3). Repentance as presented by Jesus, regarding the Kingdom of God, is two sides of the same coin: by repentance one turns away from sin; by faith one turns toward God accepting Christ as Savior. Repentance is the process of turning away from disbelief to belief in Christ. Repentance is the “humbling” process of conviction by the Holy Spirit.
Scorn, rebuke or shame (1 Timothy 3:7). On the Cross, Christ bore the shame, disgrace and humiliation of the Cross and bearing our sin. Believers will also suffer at the hand of scoffers. We must suffer rebuke for our faith because our savior suffered for us (2 Corinthians 12:10; 1 Peter 4:14).
From the Greek apokalupsis, mean unveiling or disclosure from which we get revelation. Revelation is defined as God making known to man what is otherwise unknowable.
Resurrection for the believer means the believer only returns from the dead in a body of incorruption that never dies. The unbeliever is resurrected in a body of corruption at the Last Judgment. See “Great White Throne Judgment” this study.
Are symbols of God’s Grace such as Communion and Baptism (1 Corinthians 11:23-26)
Baptism is a proclamation of faith in Christ.
Christ is the Shekinah Glory of Israel. He lived in the Holy of Holies (Exodus 25:21-22; Leviticus 26: 11-12; Psalms 91:1; Hebrews 9:5). His presence was visible by a cloud during the day and by a pillar of fire at night so that the Jews would know when He was in the Tabernacle.
Violation of God’s Standards. Sin is mental (thinking) first, then overt by tongue or other physical action, and is a manifestation of sin in the flesh - inherent in our old sin nature (OSN).
See "Human Nature"
Maximum punishment from God when He removes the believer from earth by physical death.
Making negative statements publicly about another person. Also includes the verbal sins of gossiping, maligning; judging anyone.
Theological concepts which describe the cross work of Christ and the results of our so great salvation.

Soul life is the linking or marriage of consciousness (the immaterial) and the physical (material). Consciousness is the living-thought-action-proof of a supreme entity. Consciousness proves God’s existence! We think therefore God is! At physical death, by divine design, the soul exits. Our soul is embodied for endearment of life in this reality. Apparently our soul is so designed that it must have a covering (dwelling place), a housing (a tabernacle). God is the life-giver, sustainer of the soul. God is our covering. God is the comfort-light of soul life. Soul life is an intimate piece of eternal life. Consciousness is a piece of eternal light. Light gives consciousness understanding – the light of enlightenment. Perhaps the inexplicable soul shall always remain just beyond description because our point of observation is human rather than divine. If intellectualism must deny God - it cannot see God.
God’s supreme authority over creation. One of God’s Divine Attributes.
Spiritual Autonomy means we are at peace with God; under Holy Spirit Control; Inner Happiness as spiritual adults.
Is the penalty of sin which is separation from God in total helplessness for time and eternity. God warned Adam not to eat (Genesis 2:17 “dying thou shall die.” The only solution to spiritual death is spiritual birth (John 3:3,7).
The Holy Spirit sovereignly gives gifts to every believer at salvation. These gifts are charis in the Greek which means “Grace” (1 Corinthians 12:1-11).
Means spiritual adulthood. The mature believer has successfully integrated and is constantly executing the
PPG for his life.
Jesus became our substitute, dying in our place, for the judgment of our sins.
By His life, death, burial, resurrection, ascension and current session at the
right hand of the Father, making intercession for all believers (Leviticus 16:8, Isaiah 53:5, Mark 10:45, Romans 3:23-26, II Corinthians 5:21, Galatians 3:13, I Timothy 2:6, Hebrews 9:7,12,28).
Taboo’s are a prohibition imposed by religion; a system of legalism and self-righteous. It is invasion of privacy. Taboos are not to be the criteria for assessing sin or establishing righteousness. Taboos are bullying which is a result of “power lust” by unregenerate Church members or believers minus Bible Doctrine. It is human viewpoint therefore, it is judgment. Taboos are counterfeit to Occupation with Christ. Taboos are taboo according to doctrine.
Means “four letters” referring to JHWH, translated Jehovah or Yahweh. Used in the Old Testament to refer to Lord God as one or as the Trinity. The Jews considered this name too sacred to utter so they used Adonai which is singular of the Lord God.
Refers to appearances of Christ before the incarnation.
Mankind is totally depraved in God’s sight (Titus 3:5).
Man is, by his human nature, inherently a sinner, lost, without hope,
except by faith in the cross-work of Christ.
The gift of tongues was a temporary gift for the dissemination of the Gospel at the beginning of the Church-age (1 Corinthians 12:1-31; 13:1-10).
God is everywhere; He transcends time and space; He is outside of His created universe. God is everywhere simultaneously.
A reference to the Cross.
Represented the perfect environment of the Garden of Eden; between God and man until Adam transgressed (disobeyed). See Genesis 2:9; 3:22.
The triumphal entry of our Savior into the third heaven, which is beyond the stellar universe. His procession from earth in bodily form was the first entry by any human being into Heaven. He is the first-fruits of our salvation. His glorified humanity sits at the Father’s Right Hand on the Throne of Eternity. All believers who have died physically are in the Third Heaven with our Savior, which is why He died in our place so we could be with Him in His place (John 14:2).
The correspondence between two historical situations such as the flood with baptism (1 Peter 3:21). Another example is Adam as the first man and Christ as the second man; a prototype and a copy; the correspondence between the heavenly pattern its earthly counter part (Acts 7:44; Hebrews 8:5; 9:24).

The saving work of Christ on the Cross for the sins of humanity which was efficacious. Efficacious means the perfectly innocent Christ in His humanity, sacrificed Himself and was totally acceptable to God. Christ died in our place. He paid in full, our insurmountable debt (Redemption – Romans 3:24-26; 1 Corinthians 1:30; 6:20; 7:23; Galatians 1:24; 2:20; 4:4; Ephesians 1:7; 5:2; Colossians 1:14, 20-22; 1Timothy 2:6; Titus 2:14; Hebrews 9:12-15; 1 Peter1:18-19; Revelation 5:9-10; Hebrews (9:26; 10:5-10). Animal sacrifices in the Old Testament were accepted by God to make temporary atonement for sin, but have no efficacy (Hebrew 10:4). Atonement is reconciliation between God and man. Christ propitiated (satisfied) God and removed the barrier between God and man (Reconciled). Unlimited Atonement is eternal for the believer. Christ died once, for all, for all time (2 Corinthians 5:18-21; Ephesians 2:15-18; Colossians 1:20-22.

The rejection of Christ’s work on the Cross (John 1:29; 3:18; 36). This sin is related to the convicting ministry of the Holy Spirit and if this truth is rejected it is blasphemy of the Holy Spirit (Genesis 6:3; John 16:7-11: Hebrews 10:29).
God is absolute truth, veracity is the absolute integrity of God, which
consists of His righteousness and justice which comprises His Holiness.
His Holiness is the totality of Divine Perfection. (Exodus 34:6; Deuteronomy 32:4; Psalms 31:15; 33:4; John 1:14; 14:6; 16:13; 17:17-19).
The old sin nature (Adams nature) is passed down in each generation through the male (father) in copulation (seed of man). The seed for the humanity of Jesus Christ was implanted by the Holy Spirit. God is the Father, Mary is the mother (Matthew 1:18, 22-25). Luke calls it the miracle conception (Luke 1:26-38).
Freedom to choose. God does not and cannot violate free will. Negative use of volition caused the first suffering in the Women and then Adam and suffering passed to all men for all have sinned. Volitional responsibility is the reason for so much suffering and shame in the world. Man knows right from wrong -“Tree of the knowledge of Good and Evil” (Genesis 2:17).
Personal evangelism by believers to unsaved mankind; Communication the Gospel of Christ on the Cross for the lost; Believer has responsibility to be accurate in presenting the Gospel message. Then, the one who hears is responsible to respond or reject. His choice (volition) determines his eternal destiny. Witnessing is serious because eternity with or without God is at stake.
